Many of us who have traveled more than about ten miles from where born have come across "interesting" places in The U.S. Places like Intercourse and Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania.
But in planning a trip to Britain next month I have come across a number of places that some internet browsers feel worthy of prohibiting from the view of tender young innocents.
Among them:
Cockermouth, Cumbria
Three Cocks, Powys
Twatt, Shetland Islands
Bell End, Northamptonshire
Sandy Balls, Hampshire
Slack Bottom, West Yorkshire
Butts View, Derbyshire
Cocking, Sussex
Bully Hole Bottom, Monmouthshire
Minge Lane, Worcestershire
Assington, Suffolk
Juggs Lane, West Sussex
Furry Way, Cornwall
Rings End, Cambridgeshire
I don't think I'll make a special trip to any of them but wonder, if I tried, would I see signs like this:
