I just watched a coal miners short story yesterday, very interesting. Your song remined me of it today.


A truly American original: John Henry.

Dammit, I been searching for an hour for a decent version. These guys do some scale-runnin' and harmonizing on the original, but

minus that the original thing can be heard the way it pretty much should be.
The solo section is very nice. (that wasn't in the original)
Really these guys jammed it up pretty good. Dadgummit! I want the more old-timey one!

That's reminds me of the Peter Gunn girlfriend. Lola Albright.
The first song on the list was her big hit and is what she is known for. A soft and feminine voice that was easy to recognize.
Astrud Gilberto may not be known by many but the song is known well. Lola Albright, I looked forward to seeing on the TV show Peter Gunn every week. She was another not well-known but a great talent.
