The reason this is legal is because the circumstances are new.
Let me try to explain it so you understand it.
You have a campaign where you are running for office.
You rent an office space in a building for say $1,000 to be your campaign headquarters.
Your campaign become successful and people start sending you money to support your cause.
So it turns out you OWN the building you are charging your campaign $1,000 for your office.
So now, with money coming in, you RAISE the rent to $10,000 from $1,000
The other $9,000 you put into your bank account.
Turns out Trump is doing this to the tune of millions. Charging $400,000.00 for a fundraiser that normally cost $40,000.00
Raising the cost ten times.
And there are many, many, many more example from Trump Towers and golf courses and resorts. Trumps minions are sending him money most can barely afford to pay and 9/10th of it goes into his bank account.
You know what this reminds me of?
