I can agree with a lot of that.
But my own definition is better.
Someone wanting to whistleblow on a matter of public concern. Not someone who just wants to vent their prejudice.
Lies are not protected.
IE lying about spomeons sexuality to attack sexual minorities
lying about race or religion to attack racial minorities
lying about anything basically
ie - Vance fucks furniture. his wife looks hot. She should get his attention.

Lies arent campaign promises that you dont carry out.
IE Trumps wall. He obviously wanted it but couldnt get it done. Happens all the time like Obamas healthcare.

The current political scene is based on lies and too many people make a good living out of just lying.

Here within your opening post is another example of a LIE.

"religion" is not a race/genetic trait common to any one race, only.

"Religion" is matter of personal choice, and part of Free Speech."
However, if your religion says, or you interpret it as saying, you should perform a criminal act, than YOU are responsible for that, not the "religion".

I'll support the government controlling speech when I'm appointed the sole arbiter of what is acceptable speech.

We are not "trying to derail the thread".
We are engaging in conversation presenting the opposite view and opinion, which you would want a law to prevent and punish for since it doesn't agree with your disinformation, misinformation personal views and opinions.

If one is a mature, rational, and reasonable adult they can separate words from actions.
(they can also spell or use spell check = "seperate" )

The term "free speech" isn't really relevant to much on a political site. Politically motivated censorship is what applies to the current political landscape. Those who are hungry to politically censor their opponents are also hungry to conflate free speech with politically motivated censorship and will fight to NEVER differentiate these two things.
