Seriously if Facebook can censor conservatives and it is not subject to the first Amendment, because it is not a public entity, but a private one, then we can all violate the first Amendment since we are all private entities.

So can Walmart not hire a certain color people? They are a private company.

Who thought this nonsense thru?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Obvious, actually.

So can Walmart not hire conservatives or gays or whatever? Walmart is not public, they are private

Walmart is not public, they are private

Again moron.

Facebook is a publicly traded private company
Walmart is a publicly traded private company

Thus Walmart can choose not to let conservatives shop in their stores, if Facebook is allowed to ban conservatives.

Anyone with a private company could choose not to hire a certain group because of their beliefs.

This is not the law as it stands.

How long would this fly?

Walmart does not have to sell fake products any more than Facebook has to push fake conspiracy whackjob bullshit.

They claim to be a platform, yet conspiratorially ban users for political reasons.

These companies received millions and millions in subsidies. Attacking Americans like this is absolutely not ok. Any more than all the power companies suddenly deciding that they won't be delivering the electricity.

Yes, we can. Because we're private American entities. You are an Russian intelligence operative who is demonstrating your complete failure to comprehend American constitutional protections. Eat nukes, douche bag.

The question is can Walmart refuse to serve conservatives because of their views as a group. Could supermarkets refuse to sell food to conservatives, because they do not like their views, forcing all conservatives to change their views or break the law?

None of this is remotely rational or allowable under US laws...……..

You cannot violate protected groups' civil liberties, such as race, origin, ethnicity, and so on in the public place. Look up Public Accommodation laws.

Freedom of speech applies only to government. Read the Constitution, please.

Private entities do not have to protect your freedom of speech.

They in fact should be able to do just that...

Since Walmart's whole business model is predicated on getting as many people to buy its products as possible, I doubt they would ban conservatives, nor would they know how to effectively identify conservatives, or liberals, or independents --- Apple and Facebook's business model isn't the same as Walmart's -- they don't have to rely on Alex Jones worshippers to remain in business..

By the way, Walmart doesn't carry any Alex Jones T-shirts, are they censoring Alex? Or do they feel they can survive without pandering Alex Jones BS

Facebook did not ban all Conservatives. Your post and this thread are based on an entirely false premise.

There is no freedom of speech protection for posting or publishing on a private entity's platform. None.
