What Is Wrong With America ?

There is no reason a Tax Payer should be Taxed 26% of their earnings, that is outrageous..

Imagine somebody making lets say $600 a week, after taxes they take home $444 a week. .

So what if they paid a 10% Tax rate??
They'd take home $540 a week
What that means is they have an extra $100 a week to use to save for a purchase of a car or home, to spend at businesses to help create jobs (more business, more jobs, more tax payers)

Plus when they go out and spend money, there are still sales taxes reaped in by government..

the average persons taxes could also be lower if the rich paid what they paid through much of our history, before they bought a congress full of suck-ups, which got them loopholes and tax-avoidance gimmicks and just plain lower rates.

Please explain why should rich pay more then what you call average person?

If hardcore liberals express all this Equality for all people, then why do you not want to tax everybody the same??

maybe thats the difference between "hardcore" liberals and just regular liberals, or leftists and liberals.

Leftists perhaps are as ok with inequality as conservatives.

And being a land of freedom, what do you believe these rich can do if they are taxed too much?? They can move at free will, there are also other countries besides the United States of America..

The Top 10% pay for 70% of the US Tax Bill.. so why are you crying??

Im not crying, and neither should they. History shows the rich do just fine when America taxes them at a higher rate. A 70% top rate didnt get in the way of Ross Perot for example.

I would welcome them out the door if thats what they choose. Especially those that use gimmicks and loopholes, most of their money is overseas anywAY......THEY CAN GET THE HELL OUT....the country would be better off without them.

Well I wouldn't say conservatives, but Far Right yeah.

Basically the 2 Party system is a failure.. All it ends up being is bickering back and forth at each other, promoting violence against certain groups of people, dividing the nation, not getting anything done in Washington, and only caring about the Next Election versus the Next Generation.. It is flawed and a Third Party needs to really come out of the wood work or just get rid of political parties period.

I agree we need a third party. The PUPPET PARTIES are too far gone on the corruption scale to try and salvage. The problem isnt with parties of themselves but parties that dont really stand for anything other than graft.

That is not enough to justify taxing them more. My neighbor has an apple tree and I don't, I gotta buy them from groceries store.

Do you think raising taxes on rich would solve the problem?

Let's play with numbers...

All income taxes bring to US government around $1.1 trillion in revenue, or around 28% from which around $930 billion comes from top 1% (those making above $400k).

If you raise taxes on them 10%, government is going to get $93 billion a year more. Since our government is spending around $10.5 billion a day, that money would last less then 9 days.

$93 billion is not even a quarter of annual interest on debt we pay.

Do you really think that problem is in taxation or maybe, just maybe someplace else?

Stop lying, that is not what Bain Capital did.

No, that's exactly how Bain Capital operated.

Look up KB Toys, AmPad, GS Steel, or any of the other companies Bain looted for a quick profit.

What would happen to those companies without Bain?

Also, about 20% of Bain investments flopped within 10 years. If is so profitable for Bain to close the business, why didn't they close them all?

Actually, some of these companies were able to survive bain's parasitic behavior. Staples, for instance, really didn't take off until after they got Bain out of their lives.

Probably most of those companies would still be in business. Bain just went in and looted companies.

Yawn, guy, what Romney and Bain did to companies is well documented.

That your moral sense is so skewed that you think Joe Soptic's wife dying was "creative destruction" shows how far we have gotten off track.

It is well documented. And I have forgotten more about Bain than all the slanted made up shit you wallow in.

Please be brief. I will briefly state that there probably are 100 things (or more) wrong with America, but I will state just one for now >>

America is too much run by rich people. Members of Congress, the President and Vice-President, and members of the Supreme Court are generally all rich people. What do they know about middle class, lower middle class, and poor people's lives ? How can they make decisions about things they have no experience with, or have long forgotten from years past ? When have these people ever been unemployed, and out looking for a job, with a wide variety of things being used against them ? (credit reports, smear talk from former employers often untrue, etc). The last time I applied for a job I was told I would never get hired because employers require RECENT employment in that job occupation (within last 2 years). There's probably a long list of ways people can be denied a job, that shouldn't exist, and don't make sense.

The problem I see with our country is we have allowed our major manufacturing and industrial jobs to be exported out of our country. We need to take them back. Give tax breaks, low intrust loans to build factories, anything we need to do to bring them back. Increase import fees to the point where it is cheaper to build it here. Whatever we pay to bring jobs back will be more than offset by taxes we take in from income tax. Help companies build new steel mills and make sure imported steel is too expensive to import. We are the largest consumer nation in the world, we should make sure what we buy is made here. Doing this would cause difficulties for other nations that now export to us but screw them, they have been screwing us for years now and it's time we put ourselves first again. This could give us full employment with jobs that pay enough to actually support a family. Flipping burgers was never meant to be a job that anyone would choose as a career. It is a job for kids after school and while they go to college. If we could have full employment with well paying jobs, increase our GDP by the amount that we now import we might actually be able to think about paying off that 17.6 trillion we now have to borrow to support the unemployed and under employed.

Those jobs will never come back. Buggy whip manufacturing is gone forever.

Oh, China won't hold the jobs for long, because the labor model doesn't work even with cheap labor. The manufacturing is already coming back - even the scumbags at Apple are "reshoring."

Manufacturing is coming back, not the jobs. A $20 an hour button pusher will never again exist in this nation - or any nation. Sorry, automation makes such a thing stupid.
