We are a divided Nation. In 1968, we had a very liberal Presidential Candidate tell America, "There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" In 2008, we had a very liberal president-elect tell America, "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.
Which of the two quotes is more unifying and will at least say to the opposition, "let's look at it this way".
I heard on the TV just yesterday that JFK hated liberals.
"There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?"
Wasn't JFK who said that?
In 1968??
