"What's the difference between a Democrat and a socialists?

Your side believes in wealth redistribution too. When they gave the rich and corporations tax breaks they basically shifted the tax burden more onto us and now Republicans are raising our taxes.

The rich use to have 75% of the pie and now they have 90% and you're crying for them? You're a God damn fool.
Keep your suspenders on, pa.
Point exactly to where in my post I "cry" for the very rich. Looks like I hit a nerve when I pointed out the redistributionist left.
I'm for the wealthy paying their share (though they already do pay 70% of all collected federal income taxes) and I'm for Obama and the left stopping their milking of the middle class in order to support our metastasizing welfare state.
You're a God damned idiot.
Your conclusion proves the nerve hit was yours, son. The rich are not paying their fair share as a matter of fact as the numbers above show. I am tired of the Congress milking the middle class and allowing the rich to increase their unfair share even more.
There's no nerve to hit as I've only pointed out how the left and socialists both believe in redistribution of income. Go ahead and disagree and demonstrate your lack of understanding.
You have given a mere assertion, worthless in and of itself. "Redistribution of income" as you are using the term, poorly, is done by both parties.
True. Republicans haven't been purists and have gone along with giving others people's money away to blunt democrat criticisms
(the responsible parent will always be the more unpopular parent).

But looking at the most recent trillion dollar give away program (Obama Care) it's east to see which party uses redistribution of wealth as a cornerstone of their party strategy. As the saying goes, anyone that robs Peter to pay Paul will always have Paul's vote.
Too bad they don't vote. The Paul"s don't vote.

So... at the end of the day, what this thread is teaching us, is that there is absolutely no difference between the common Democrat and the lowly socialist.

Now does that surprise ANYONE?

Anyone at all?

If that's all you've learned why do you even come here?

Or do you see yourself more as a teacher? Now that's hilarious.

Fair enough... . Your concession is duly noted and summarily accepted.

Bernie Sanders is proud to call himself a socialist so if that's a socialist I'm one too.

I love capitalism but it has to be well regulated. You'd probably call Reagan a socialist.

No shit... ?

Is there someone who's running around claiming that you're something other THAN a socialist? Point me toward them and I'll straighten them out for ya.

Edit: I see ya thought that was funny... meaning that no one else has suggested you're not a socialist.

Fair enough.

Your concession is duly noted and summarily accepted.

Keys is fun to watch as he makes up his own definitions and proclaims himself as an authority.

The fact remains that no one has demonstrated that the GOP and Dems are anything than parties that believe in social market democracy.

What's the difference between any of the GOP candidates? I know one is black and ones a woman but other than that, what are the policy difference between fiorino, keys, Walker, bush, huckabee, trump, Christie etc? Seems like 15 identical assholes to me.

So still no distinction can be found between the U.S. Democrat Party and Socialism.

^^^ From the imbecile of the Board, who thinks he is an authority on Natural Law. No one has yet been able to show that the Dem and GOP are anything other than social market democratic political parties. They are not socialist, neither of them. Both believe in regulation of capitalism.

Good question, right?

Here are two notorious Democrats asking the question and trying to explain it:

A socialist wants the government to collect everyone's wealth and redistribute it as needed.

A Democrat wants the government to collect everyone's wealth, except their's, and redistribute it as needed.
