When did congress authorize Trump to send Marines into Syria to fight for Rocca?

We don't care, cause we are to old to serve..

They have passed authorization..

Just curious. Or is there a standing authorization from a previous congress?
/---- We don't care. Hope that answers your question.
That seems like a pretty irresponsible position don't ya think?

I'll ask again, does Trump have congressional authorization to send Marines into Syria?

There were already 500 U.S. military personal in Syria. Moving a couple of hundred Marines from Iraq to Syria does not require congressional authorization. This is essentially just moving troops to a different front on the battlefield against ISIS. Plus, even if this was an intervention in a new country, the President has 60 days before he would need to have congressional authorization.

It's not a couple hundred. He is sending over a thousand in addition to thousands being sent to Kuwait

Good, ISIS is falling apart. ISIS has almost been routed from Iraq and Syria will not be far behind.

Why would you think he needs authorization?

Clinton sends para military into a compound on US soil and nothing happens, to him. Can't say that about the children killed.

Clinton terror bombs Serbia for 72 days even killing Chinese and no authorization, and nothing happens.

Bush goes to war in Afghanistan and Iraq WITH congressional approval.

Obama helps to create the greatest humanitarian crisis since WW2 without authorization.

So it is pretty clear to see that authorization isn't always needed.

Colonel Hunt says we have around 5k fighting in Iraq & another 5k that have crossed the border into Syria.

Think he is reliable?

Because that is the standard I held previous presidents to and I am not a hack on such serious matters.

The POTUS owns the Marines, no blessing from Congress needed. He cant send the Army or Navy though. something to consider when choosing which branch to enlist in

Jefferson sent the Marines after the Libyan pirates IIRC.

Fact is he gave control of the war to the People trained to fight it. Took it away from the press, the lying bulshit liberal scum, and all he has to do is say okay go kill those sobs. ONCE a war is declared, there is NO restriction to the troop deployment that can be authorized, The congress has the authority to regulate the involvement by regulating the funding for the theatre.

The use of force authorization that was passed under Bush is still in effect, it allows the CIC to pursue terrorist where ever they may be.

We had air sorties running in Syria under Obama So operations were already authorized. There wasn't even an Interruption of hostilities and we already had advisers and "spotters". on the ground in Syria under Obama.
