They didn't table legislation that provided funds to teach new skills. They didn't create the environment of three applicants for every job. They didn't create the fact the US's emerging industry is low paying service jobs.
All of these happening weren't created by the working class, it was completely out of their hands.
The fact of the matter is those left behind workers, are people of all ethnicities, religions and political beliefs who have been through very rough times and face a even more difficult future.
Who are these people attacking the working class and why are they attacking the most abused segment of the American culture?
Those who are attacking the working class are totally ignorant and self absorbed.

If wealthy people paid workers less than the value of their contribution to profits I could easily step in and hire them myself to the detriment of their business.
Nobody forces you to work in what you consider an "underpaid" job. If you don't like it, start your own company and pay workers more.
What you will find though, is that the sanctimonious liberal (while praising paying higher wages) does not put their money where their mouth is, e.g., they are unwilling to pay more for products made by higher wage workers.

Their jobs were shipped overseas because we got fat and lazy as a culture. We had it easy after WWII when the world lay in ruins (and we didn't). When the other countries in the world recovered, we were caught flat footed.
This isn't new. The Roman empire went through the same experience, degeneracy, devaluation of their currency, debt and hiring others to do your work for you.
Actually, the American worker has much more power over his own life than at certain other times in history. Our history shows us that before the time of unions, we had no power at all. Children were forced to work at a very early age, there was no such thing as a stay at home parent and people worked incredibly long hours under dangerous and unhealthy conditions, weekends, no sick leave, no maternity leave and had no recourse.
Thanks to people pulling together, we have weekends, holidays, sick leave, safer working conditions, children in school instead of working.

Reading the "thoughts" of the Prog Collective here at USMB, you'd think that the American worker suddenly became a mindless ward of the state, incapable of learning or bettering himself or generating a single entrepreneurial thought.

Step 3: Local Permits

Step 4: Incorporation Filing
If your business is a corporation, a non-profit, a limited liability company or a partnership (limited, or limited liability) you must register with the following state agency. Step 5: Doing Business As (DBA)
A fictitious name filing, also known as Doing Business As or DBA, allows you to create name for your business that is different than your personal name, the names of your partners or the officially registered name of your LLC or corporation.
All person(s) and entities doing business for profit in California under a name different from the owner(s) full legal name(s) must file a Fictitious Name Statement with the County Recorder-Clerk's Office where the business will be conducted.

Withholding Income Taxes
The IRS states that you must keep records of employment taxes for at least four years. Also, keep good records for your business to help you monitor the progress of your business, prepare your financial statements, identify source of receipts, keep track of deductible expenses, prepare your tax returns, and support items reported on tax returns.
Federal Income Tax Withholding (Form W-4)
Every employee must provide an employer with a signed withholding exemption certificate (Form W-4) on or before the date of employment. The employer must then submit Form W-4 to the IRS to ensure. For specific information on employer responsibilities regarding withholding of federal taxes, read the IRS' Employer's Tax Guide.
Federal Wage and Tax Statement (Form W-2)
On an annual basis, employers must report to the federal government wages paid and taxes withheld for each employee. This report is filed using Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. Employers must complete a Form W-2 for each employee to whom they pay a salary, wage, or other compensation. Employers must send Copy A of Forms W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement) to the Social Security Administration (SSA) by the last day of February (or last day of March if you file electronically) to report the wages and taxes of your employees for the previous calendar year. In addition, employers should send copies of Form W-2 to their employees by January 31 of the year following the reporting period. Employee Eligibility Verification (I-9 Form)
Employees hired after November 6, 1986 must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Federal law requires employers to verify an employee's eligibility to work in the United States.
