When Hillary paid for the Steele Dossier and put it down as a "legal expense" her campaign was fined $100k

Why is this any different?

Trump is going to honestly raise $2-3 BILLION more from American citizens than he would have before this. Not men and women with deep pockets, but just regular Mom and Pop store owners and blue collar workers.
How many checks did Sec. Clinton sign to pay GPS Fusion and how was the information in the report used by her campaign to smear Benedict Donald and help her campaign?

Trump was convicted under SECTION 175.10 of the New York Penal Law

"Falsifying business records in the first degree"

Everything else is irrelevant. He falsified business records.

Did Hillary falsify business records?

Why is this any different?
The ignorance of that question would make me a shocked American if you didn't have an established track record of idiocy.

If you have any evidence Hillary was involved in the decision to retain Fusion GPS or was aware at all of Chris Steele's work before it became public info then post it. Otherwise, STFU.

You haven't been paying attention, have you? Not really. You've been arguing with yourself inside of your own head "Keep the news out! Keep the news out!"

THE GRAND JURY OF THE COUNTY OF NEW YORK, by this indictment, accuses the defendant of the crime of FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS IN THE FIRST DEGREE, in violation of Penal Law §175.10, committed as follows:

The defendant, in the County of New York and elsewhere, on or about February 14, 2017, with intent to defraud and intent to commit another crime and aid and conceal the commission thereof, made and caused a false entry in the business records of an enterprise, to wit, an invoice from Michael Cohen dated February 14, 2017, marked as a record of the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, and kept and maintained by the Trump Organization.

read it:

§ 175.10 Falsifying business records in the first degree
Currentness
A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the first degree when he commits the crime of falsifying business records in the second degree, and when his intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.
Falsifying business records in the first degree is a class E felony.

No intent to defraud, why doesn’t anyone address this?

Trump likely doesn’t make entries into the business ledgers, he has accountants do that.
Show me where Trump personally entered the false business record. Again, he probably has an accounting firm.

Well, if you are sure, it must have never happened.

You need to understand that the word “sure” can be used in a variety of different contexts…

Do you believe trump is actually managing the companies books? He does it himself and not a ln accounting firm?

you should stick with Canadian election laws.

You truly are naive aren't you?

Put it this way,, if Hillary didn't know, she SHOULD have known. Plausible deniability might be a legitimate excuse, except she is a stickler for central control, perhaps even more than Trump. Recall she had a personal government server an egregious violation of the protection of national security. She even knew there was enough evidence of wrongdoing and potential damage done to the U.S and agencies that her hard drive was bleached.

Nope, nothing to see here. Shall we address the Clinton Foundation and foreign donations in the millions?

The bottom line, if none of these activities by the Clinton campaign deserved a courtroom case and felony charges, you can be certain that Trumps activities did not either.

ah so much for your thread then. Run along. There's some ice wine waiting for you.

That isn't a substantive response.

Why do you embarrass yourself with such conduct?

For the record, I never agreed with the "lock her up" chants. I was constantly expressing disdain when it was used, even by Trumps sons or Hannity.

Here is a guarantee, I bet you Hillary herself wishes that her campaign didn't fund the Steele Dossier. She probably wishes she had tried a different approach. She knew that it was wrong or they never would have paid the fine without a fight.

Was it a state business filing?

No?

Looks like she is smarter than the orange felon.

This sealion question was already answered at trial.

In the future, refrain from sealioning. Just state your point in a sentence and then we will address it.

So, state the claim that Trump was not involved in keeping the books of his business.

How did the Dossier effect her loss to Benedict Donald? It was never used against him in any significant way during the campaign.

The campaign never used any part of the Steele Dossier. The small amount of money they paid for it makes no significant difference compared to overall campaign spending.

It was Republicans that took the dossier and tried to make it into some sensational story but only by using lies and exaggerations.

Wow. The entire Mueller Report and even perhaps ultimately the invasion of Ukraine according to some (this at least spooked Russia and made them feel bullied and targeted by the U.S Establishment) followed the Steele Dossier.

We might call this "unintended consequences".

Christopher Steele admits he was apparently "biased against Trump" which was his motivation. Yet, this guy is showing up at all kinds of interview settings, profiting from his notoriety.

It all smells very...I don't know...

It's no different. Historically these are bookkeeping errors, that are difficult to avoid because federal election law is so damn government complex even the SCOTUS need advisors on it. SO when these BOOKKEEPING errors were discovered for Hillary and Bill and Obama and Pence and Bush etc. they paid a fine and that was the end of it.

In Trump's case you had a DA who campaigned on GETTING TRUMP on anything they could dig up. So they took this, bastardized it 10 ways to Sunday, rigged the venue, judge, rigged the jury and crammed through a BS conviction. Because that's who Democrats are, ASSHOLES!
The election laws aren't that complicated. If Democrats do it you get a pass and slap on the wrist. If Trump does it, you indict with 34 counts and try it in a weaponized kangaroo court.

Clinton’s campaign was given an FEC fine.

Trump’s campaign was given a free pass by his buddies on the commission when they voted to turn a blind eye to his illegal activities.

No they let the 5th Arm run with it, that was the intention. Yet, after Hillary lost she said the election was stolen by Putin.

Stop embarrassing yourselves and own up to the reality. It was a really bad decision which continues to hurt America and for what benefit? To have an apparent "known quantity" in office even if her policies and peers had done a horrible job ensuring Americas dominance in the world?

Let's roll the tape back to 1989 after the fall of the wall and the collapse of communism in Russia. Ask yourselves, how is it possible in 30 short years for America to fall from the sole Super Power of the world and 40% of the worlds economic output, to less than 25% and the immense rise of China.

People need more mirrors in their homes. Accept the grave mistakes and stop repeating them.
