'When I Was 21, I Terminated A Pregnancy And Was So Grateful'

The choice is the woman's. For some it is right, for others not. It can't be a one size fits all situation. The reason for wanting to carry or not is very personal and deserves thought, but fortunately we have the right to choose.

If the choice involves having a baby you can't afford, do the rest of us get to say no when it comes to our money being taken to do it on their behalf?

Abortions are not paid by the state. Haven't been for decades.
Only rape victims have abortions paid for by the government.

Soon women will be able to have an abortion in the privacy of their home, at least for the first two month. It has been proven in other part of the world. No snoopy outsiders telling women what to do with their body

Why should rape victims have the ability to use taxpayer money for an abortion?

While that is an exception that many have for an abortion to be performed, why is the responsibility of a taxpayer to fund it?

When are women who choose not to have an abortion, in other words choose to have the child, going to quit demanding that taxpayers support the child she chose to have? If it's her choice either way, why should taxpayers support the results of a choice she says is no one else's business?

Women have a right and need to control their own body.

And you are at peace with such a tidy explanation.

Reminds me of that PP doctor sipping her wine and giggling about how they preserve the brain, etc of later term abortions so they can sell them for greater profits.

Only if God is a myth. Otherwise, demonic measures will surely bear serious consequences.
Pregnancy and motherhood should be wanted with joy not forced on the woman or a form of enslavement.

Women should always be free to choose. Some will choose to carry and give birth, others won't. To each their own.

Having unprotected sex is a choice too. It is a stupid and juvenile choice.

You mean men? Men taking responsibility to protect?

It's the responsibility of both the man and the woman. His to have it and hers to make sure he does and say no if he doesn't if that's what she expects of him. If he doesn't, she wants him to, yet still has sex with him, how is it responsible to have an abortion if she gets pregnant?

I support abortion. The parents shouldn't be stuck with something they don't want. Even for the baby, being born when unwanted is not a good thing. Also, better to kill the baby while it's still underdeveloped than when it has a fully functioning brain & body. It just feels less killing that way.

Yes, we musn't make them feel like they have any responsibility in the murder.

So the $500,000,000 tax dollars given to Planned Parenthood, a firm who doesn't even provide mammograms for women isn't going toward abortions? LOL!!
I will concede tthat a lot of that money is being returned to the Democrat Party, including Ms. Clinton, in the form of campaign contributions.

they were assaulted. It was not their choice. There is also rape of a minor.

Evidence also can be used in rape criminal case

Victims of rape should not have to be bound to their assailant for the rest of their lives, be they in or out of jail. The rapist should not have power over their victim after the fact.

The assault wasn't a choice but having an abortion is. Age is irrelevant.

I didn't say she should be bound to the rapist. I indicated that many acknowledge that rape is an exception they can accept in having one. The issue is even though it resulted from an assault, the action of having an abortion is still a choice and should be paid for by the one making it. In cases where pregnancy results from a rape, I didn't get assaulted yet you don't have a problem in expecting taxpayers to fund something you won't even require the person having it to do.

    1. It is a criminal and sinful organization. They thrive on abortions, they virtually never encourage a pregnant female to consider having the child or giving it up the child for adoption. They claimed they did mammograms which was a total lie. All the services you mention are not the reason they are in business, they are in business to make money off of abortions and to encourage abortions. The $500 million of tax payer money they get annually could just as easily go to other clinics and pregnancy centers that do the same services. Why does it go just to this creepy place? Because they have legislatures in their camp.

Below are some other descpicable practices of Planned Parenthood.

      http://dailysignal.com/2015/07/15/6-past-planned-parenthood-scandals/

Here are six instances of Planned Parenthood’s alleged corruption and abuse:

      1) Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s senior director for medical services, was caught on tape detailing what happens to organs from fetuses that have been aborted. “I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps,” Nucatola said in the undercover video. The Center for Medical Progress, a nonprofit organization devoted to medical ethics, released the video on July 14. Planned Parenthood has denied wrongdoing. “On the video, the Planned Parenthood staff member talks about standard reimbursement fees for costs associated with tissue donation programs, which every health care provider has and which the federal law provides for,” the organization said in a statement.

      2) Multiple Planned Parenthood counselors advised underage teenage girls as young as 15 years old to engage in risky sexual practices, like asphyxiation and beating each other, as long as it was deemed consensual, according to an undercover investigation by the pro-life group Live Action. These counselors, according to the videos, also told the young girls to learn from watching Internet pornography and experiment by visiting sex shops, all without parental guidance. Planned Parenthood rebutted the assertion it was at fault. “This video does not reflect our education programs, the work our dedicated employees do every day, nor the experience shared by parents and teens who participate in our programs,” Betty Cockrum, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, told USA Today last year.

      3) Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains was sued in 2014 for failing to report an abusive relationship in which a 13-year-old girl was being sexually abused by her stepfather, who forced her to get an abortion when she became pregnant. The complaint alleged there were multiple warning signs, such as the girl being less than the legal age of consent in Colorado, the two going by different last names and the stepfather’s pressuring the daughter to go on birth control. According to the complaint, there were allegedly multiple instances the counselors could have asked the girl about their relationship. Instead, they stayed silent and gave her an abortion and birth control, allowing her to go home with her stepfather and continue to be sexually abused. Marie Logsden, vice president of communications at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, told The Washington Times the clinic “can never comment on the care of an individual patient, due to privacy laws and our organization’s long-standing commitment to quality and confidentiality.”

      4) Alisa LaPolt Snow, a lobbyist for Planned Parenthood, defended infanticide in 2013 as she stated that it was the choice of the “woman, family and physician” whether the infant who survived an abortion should be allowed to live, according to a Washington Post report. Snow shared this testimony in a hearing regarding a Florida bill named Infants Born Alive. The Washington Post’s Marc Thiessen added that only after a firestorm erupted in the conservative media did Planned Parenthood issue a statement that in the “extremely unlikely and highly unusual” event that a baby were born alive it would “provide appropriate care to both the woman and the infant.”

      5) The pro-life group Live Action released a videotape of a Planned Parenthood employee in Austin, Texas, advocating for sex selective abortion, as her client described wanting only a boy. According to the Live Action video, the Planned Parenthood employee told her client to wait a few weeks to determine the gender before deciding to abort the child. “I see that you’re saying that you want to terminate if it’s a girl, so are you just wanting to continue the pregnancy in the meantime?” the Planned Parenthood counselor asked. After the video surfaced, Planned Parenthood fired the counselor, according to The Huffington Post. “Planned Parenthood insists on the highest quality patient care, and if we ever become aware of a staff member not meeting these high standards we take swift action,” a Planned Parenthood spokeswoman said in a written statement.

      6) According to a Feb. 2, 2011, report from ABC News, Planned Parenthood fired a manager in 2011 after her involvement instructing a pimp and prostitute how to get around the system. As part of a sting set up by the pro-life group Live Action, a man and woman posed as sex traffickers seeking advice from Planned Parenthood workers in a New Jersey clinic. According to ABC News, the couple was overt about their work in the sex industry that involved undocumented immigrant girls. A Planned Parenthood worker encouraged them to lie about the age of the minors so that the organization would not have to legally report them to the authorities.

Rapists have rights to see and in some cases share custody of the child. The child is his leverage over his victim. Every time he sees the child he can intimidate his victim all over again. It is like making the victim relive the rape over and over again. Reminding the victim she cannot escape his reach.

On many insurances there are co-pays, some quiet high. Not OB/GYN offices can perform all services, some are outsources each with co-pays. It is easier to have all under one roof. Many women of men do not want to go to their family doctor or doctor assigned to them through work. Some fear they will loose their jobs and others that they will be seen by family or friends. It might be a lot of time from work or school to go to each service separately in different locations and arrange transportation.

Some insurance only covers catastrophic injuries and all other services are out of pocket. That is all some people can afford to get. They might have to pay a hundred or more for each visit and several hundred to a few thousand of each test.

Children/teens might seek advice where no one knows them. In some cases parents have no say but are can usually be informed when a child seeks meds or treatment.

No all hospitals have the time for outpatient services. They need to keep their time a resources for emergencies. Outpatient visits can take several hours or all day.

Even urgent care offices can had a dozen people waiting to be seen.

Uh, not even worth the time to discuss. Less than 1/2 of 1% of rapes end up in pregnancy. The victim is most often too traumatized to conceive.

    3. lactation counseling and equipment to promote breast-feeding
    4. annual well-woman preventive care visits to obtain recommended preventive care services

Isn't all of these procedures covered under all medical insurance policies and even under Obamacare policies? All of these services are performed daily for women in ordinary hospitals, clinics, and doctors offices. There is no need at all to fund Planned Parenthood to the tune of $500,000,000 per year for services rendered in thousands of hospitals, clinics, and doctors offices nationwide.

PURE BS!! Most women in America do this very thing each and every day.

If it's her choice either way, why should taxpayers support the results of a choice she says is no one else's business?

they were assaulted. It was not their choice. There is also rape of a minor.

Evidence also can be used in rape criminal case

Victims of rape should not have to be bound to their assailant for the rest of their lives, be they in or out of jail. The rapist should not have power over their victim after the fact.

Uh, not even worth the time to discuss. Less than 1/2 of 1% of rapes end up in pregnancy. The victim is most often too traumatized to conceive.

WOW! What a major moron!
Go crawl back to your cave and stay there chewing on your feet

Rape Results In More Pregnancies Than Consensual Sex, Not Fewer

Why Are Rape Victims More -- Not Less -- Likely To Get Pregnant?

Even a low ball estimate put the chances at 5% or more. Only 2 out of 100 rapes are reported. Many women use over the counter methods or are already on birth control prevent or end pregnancy.

So then pro-abortion advocates main objective is to allow rape victims have the option to abort. And mothers whose health is in grave danger over pregnancy to abort. Right?

Ok, so let’s agree to allow that and all these others be disallowed. After all, it is you phonies who keep using rape and health of the mother for your impassioned defense of abortion. (so undercover and disingenuous)

Late term is for the life of the mother or serious birth defects
Rape victims should have the option if they choose to have an abortion.
Other women have a right to choose, and pay out of pocket up to the 20 week.

No women should be forced to become a mother. It should be gift of love not in imposition.

Some women don't want the sickness, deformity of their body or pain involved in pregnancy and childbirth. More women are getting surrogates to carry their children. Some have health conditions that would be made worse by a pregnancy. Some women are just not at all maternal.

“Bah.” In the court of natural moral law, you lose.

To those who know God exists, who would dare tell Him we have the right to kill His children?
