'When I Was 21, I Terminated A Pregnancy And Was So Grateful'

Who indeed! Nevertheless, this "celebrity" celebrates her involvement in a murder. Now she wants to encourage others to do the same. Pathetic! Hitler would love her.

And you exhibit your ignorance of the law – abortion is not 'murder'; and your reference to 'Hitler' completely destroys your 'argument.'

Of course it's not murder as abortion is legal. Nice work-around, isn't it.

What part of a woman is removed when she has an abortion?

What part of a woman's body is no longer there after she has an abortion?

What part of 'the body inside of her body is not her body' do you not get?

Call it what you want but abortion ends the life of a pre-born human being. Fact.

When she was in her 20s, actress Amy Brenneman decided to terminate a pregnancy. It's been 30 years since, and all these years later she's still woefully dissatisfied with the way abortions are discussed in America.

During a conversation with HuffPost Live on Thursday about her role in HBO's "The Leftovers," Brenneman told host Alyona Minkovski that it's not acceptable for abortion to be continually "demonized" despite being "the law of the land."

The issue is important to Brenneman, who in 2006 signed a Ms. Magazine petition alongside 5,000 women who declared "We Had Abortions." The feature was a reboot of a similar petition that ran in the magazines's 1972 debut issue, and the 2006 update included celebrities like Brenneman, Gloria Steinem and Kathy Najimy alongside thousands of everyday women.

"When I was 21, I terminated a pregnancy and was so grateful, and it was not a bad experience, and I had a sweet boyfriend and a sweet doctor," Brenneman told HuffPost Live.

The shocking lack of progress since then is what prompted her to sign the Ms. petition in 2006. "I thought, 'Oh my god. The fact that 20 years later, it would be worse?'" she said. "Going backwards -- it's insane to me."

It's now been 10 years since she signed the petition, and attacks on Planned Parenthood and women's reproductive rights are still alive and well.

"That kind of gender stuff, it just kills me," Brenneman said, adding that she's among the thousands of people who were moved by a viral Facebook post comparing the difficulty in obtaining an abortion and obtaining a gun.

Could you at least have the class to use quotation marks when you C&P something? If you don't know what I mean go ask a White person.
Women who use abortion as birth control are murderers.

Wrong. The law does not have the power to change murder into something else. It can defer accountability for it, but it's still murder and accountability cannot be evaded forever.

Ah, poor selfish girl has to keep telling herself that killing her baby was the right thing to do. How "brave" of her.

If it's so acceptable start calling it what it is, you killed your baby.

One person who 30 years ago took a life and doesn't regret it makes ALL the other stories bogus?

Your logic is pretty moronic.

Did they ask the unborn baby that was aborted what it felt like to be aborted?

The choice is the woman's. For some it is right, for others not. It can't be a one size fits all situation. The reason for wanting to carry or not is very personal and deserves thought, but fortunately we have the right to choose.

If the choice involves having a baby you can't afford, do the rest of us get to say no when it comes to our money being taken to do it on their behalf?

Typical talking points as I have said before if Planned Parenthood wants to provide abortions fine get off the taxpayer dime and have PP funded through private donations. This way those who oppose abortion do not have their tax dollars paying for them and would no longer have that beef with Planned Parenthood and those who support them can fund them and help them provide abortions.

"So much for the right-wing horror stories about abortions."

So much for you knowing who God is or caring about Him.

You have been duped.

I can assure you all those proud women who were so proud of their abortions --- if any one of them had that child instead, not a single one of them would look at their 5 or 6 month old baby and said "I wish I had aborted you."

Can you find any mother like that who wishes she had aborted the child she now has?

This is not a political matter, or even a social matter. It is a godly matter, and a demonic one as well. We all struggle with life's difficulties. Neither suicide nor euthanasia nor abortion are the answers.

They seem to put forth the notion that pregnancy is a disease. It's not. Pregnancy can easily and very cost effectively be avoided. My wife used birth control pills forty years ago and they were inexpensive even back then. We had three children, all planned. I simply cannot fathom the total irresponsibility some of these women and their sexual partners exhibit.

It's unnatural for any woman to murder her pre-born baby. .......

yet woman have had access to and used birth control and methods of abortion since the dawn of civilization.

Women have a right and need to control their own body.
