When we see USA flags

Thank you. I see conservatives and in most cases recently they appear to be extremists. This may not have always been the case but in my opinion it has been at least since the beginning of the Trump movement.
Why?
They appear to be identifying with the flag in an effort to lend credibility to their agenda.

As to the left, not displaying the flag nearly as often and as much? That could be their demonstration of being more anti-establishment.

However, there's little doubt that Trump's followers on the right are motivated by anti-establishment feelings. And I should also say that when there are confederate flags being flown too, it sends the same message.

My analysis may not be totally correct, but it's my honest opinion.

Yes, it's a viewpoint. But it's based on my opinion as a Canadian and I can't voice an opinion in any other way. That's the reason why I asked if it would be appropriate to comment here.

To clarify, I see even the left in America being to the right of Canadian politics. I won't get further into an explanation here on this thread until asked.

I would think they are a American that loves America.

I don't consider their political affiliation because a republican or a democrat can love america, any American can. People as individuals can love america, the only time it becomes a problem is when people are in groups.

But if I was going to place a bet, I would bet money on it being a republican or someone in the middle as I would imagine those would be the groups with the highest odds of flying a flag in our current society at this point in time. I would imagine it less likely to be a democrat. Ask me that question 10 years ago and it would have been much harder to guess.

When we see a gathering of people and a bunch of USA flags, are we seeing lefty gathering, or are we seeing a gathering of righties? What about when we see a car or pickup proudly pulling our flag, is the driver most likely a lefty? When you see a bunch of USA flags at a gathering, do you get excited seeing such a beautiful display of patriotism, or do you feel resentment toward the people displaying the flags?

I tend to believe that the flag-wavers are gung ho conservatives. I was surprised this past Independence Day when I saw African-American and Hispanic-American families decked out in Red, White, and Blue.
