White House delays tariffs on EU, Canada and Mexico

We're going to have very frank discussions," Mnuchin in an interview broadcast Monday on Fox Business.

Most analysts, however, think it's unlikely the talks will reach permanent agreements and will more likely mark the start of longer-term negotiations.

No rush.

More double talk and uncertainty by this Admin and another 250 points plus off the Dow.

The markets are in the red for the year.

‘Delays’ tariffs it never intended to impose in the first place.

Trump’s is truly a reckless, irresponsible ‘administration.’

Well, Munchkin and Kudlow may get better trade conditions. But the only way to have US steelworkers outperform German workers is pay more for steel. The Germans pay less for healthcare, and don't pay execs or shareholders over the shorterm. They are more efficient.

And Germany isn't going to give up steel jobs without getting something in return, and that will result in some trade occurring for reasons having nothing to do with efficient markets.

Trump is still protectionist. I have no idea whether he actually intended to impose tariffs. His intentions seem to change from moment to moment. LOL

May 1st and the Dow is still down for the year, as is the S&P 500. But hey, the NASDAQ has gained about 100 points! :113:
