Which States Allow the Permitless Carry of Guns?

CARRY LAWS

by Katharina Buchholz,
Aug 2, 2022

In January of 2023, Alabama will become the 25th state in the U.S. that isn't requiring any permits to carry a gun in public. In recent years, more and more states have enacted similar legislation. Indiana, together with Georgia and Ohio, did so this year. The change made headlines as it occurred just two weeks before a deadly mass shooting at a mall in an Indianapolis suburb, where a gunman killed three and wounded two more before being shot dead by a bystander who also carried a gun.

this is ridiculous!!
I don't blame Biden for getting mad.
In Arizona a Chandler cop said it best. "In Arizona you shouldn't pick on the little guy because everyone is armed.

I posted this in another thread:

What about deaths from car accidents: There were 35,766 fatal motor vehicle crashes in the United States in 2020. What are we doing to save those lives? (Fatality Facts 2020: State by state)

What about Alcohol and Driving: Every day, about 32 people in the United States die in drunk-driving crashes — that's one person every 45 minutes. What are we doing to save those lives.
(Drunk Driving | NHTSA.)

What about opioid deaths: Opioid-involved overdose deaths rose from 21,089 in 2010 to 47,600 in 2017 and remained steady through 2019. This was followed by a significant increase in 2020 with 68,630 reported deaths and again in 2021 with 80,411 reported overdose deaths. What are we doing to save those lives.
(Drug Overdose Death Rates | National Institute on Drug Abuse.)

What about tobacco: More than 480,000 deaths annually (including deaths from secondhand smoke)
Secondhand smoke causes 33,951 annual deaths from heart disease. What are we doing to save those lives.

The point: MSM and politicians want guns at the forefront because they have made it a political voting machine. We all know it. As a society, why are we not as concerned about all these other "Preventable" deaths? Why is a shooting death, which we are all unlikely to be a victim of (your locale could put you in greater risk, like Chicago), much more of a concern, than the deaths I mentioned above?

And for anyone interested, here is a decent rebuttal of the Jon Stewart and Rahm gun debate. The youtuber does a great job of breaking down Stewarts points (which are pretty much reiterated time and time again on this board). I'm not sure if the YouTuber, Colion, points it out, but he is also a lawyer.

It does, your policy is more guns and America is pretty high up on gun incident chart.
Many of the regulations you advocate for – such as found in Europe – will never be implemented in the United States.

Consequently, rather than wasting time whining about how ‘stupid’ and ‘barbaric’ Americans are, submit instead solutions and remedies that might actually be possible given the current political and legal conditions.
