White House delays employer mandate requirement until 2015

The employer mandate part of the affordable healthcare act is another President Obama political game. The Obama administration knows when that part of the health care law hits jobs will be lost. The midterm elections are in 2014 and he can’t risk giving the Senate back to the Republicans. If the Republicans keep the House and take the Senate his agenda is finished

that is exactly why this was done, political gamesmanship, nothing more.

We need to declare our independence from this government

its happening in Egypt right now. A government can only shit on its citizens for so long.

I don't think we have come to that point in America, but the way our politicians (and I can not stress this enough - on BOTH sides) are taking Americans for granted by serving their own greedy needs, something like that could be in happening in the future.

We need to declare our independence from this government

I think everyone should demand that Obama be forced to follow the law, this is the only way everyone is going to see exactly how bad this thing is.

And in a perfect world, that wouldn't be necessary. However, this isn't the America of 45-50 years ago. Today, we have thousands of "lawyers" whose "job" it is to undermine the law at every possible turn (Thanks Bill Clinton).

Now, Every time a law is passed, it IMMEDIATELY faces legal challenges at every turn. All designed to circumvent the "system".

How can we fix Obamacare?

Eliminate it and start focusing on the actual problems in healthcare.. Work on opening up competition, reduce the cost raising issues like bogus lawsuits, open up tax free medical savings accounts for everyone, let people have more choices in levels of insurance coverage...

KEEP GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE BUSINESS OF PROVIDING HEALTHCARE AND HEALTH INSURANCE

Nice speech.

Work on opening up competition

The top ten health insurance companies own close to 50% of the policies.

Largest US Health Insurance Companies

How can you create competition with numbers like that?

btw; The HMO act of 1973 created competition by establishing all HMO's be non-profit. Reagan screwed that up by allowing profit companies to own HMO's. Premiums jumped 180% during Reagan/Bush, leveled off during Clinton, then jumped 160% during baby Bush. See a pattern there?

reduce the cost raising issues like bogus lawsuits

With all of the 'bogus lawsuits', UnitedHealth Group Net (cash take-home) of $5.1billion. Not bad!

open up tax free medical savings accounts for everyone

MSA's, flexible spending accounts, health Reimbursement Account's, and health savings account's aren't enough?

let people have more choices in levels of insurance coverage...

Such as?

Our current health care system isn't doing such a great job:

you know that 150 Million Legal Americans will soon be demanding that they delay the "Other Mandatory Parts", like maybe the Exchanges?

Why would people demand that they delay exchanges? Competition will drive down rates.

I can't believe that we live in an America today where any/most medical bills (even basic/simple appts.) cost more than a weeks pay !!! thanks to Obama-Care !!!! aka "Affordable-Care"....hmm, maybe its affordable for those who make over $250,00 a year?

Thanks to Obamacare? Holy shit, you're a fucking tool.

By postponing it for a year but still enforcing everyone to obtain coverage will make it unnecessary to mandate the employers in 2015 since everyone now has coverage through the exchange.
