Why does Race Matter On The Census Count? Is This An Appropriate Question?

Again, race has ALWAYS been a question on the census since 1790.

Why do people pretend it's ever been any different?

Census is done for Government Representation of ALL PEOPLE.

I understand that YOU want people counted as separate Racial Groups. Do you understand that I want ALL people counted REGARDLESS of their racial identity?

You understand that all races haven't always been equally represented?

Also, you were the one who mentioned the Constitutional Census. Why has race been a question since the very first census in 1790?

Aaronleland....if America is still stuck in a 1790's racial paradigm isn't that kinda sad?

Maybe we can move forward a little bit. :)

The concept of race...at least scientifically....is virtually meaningless. The data contained in the Census is not measuring anything real. It needs to stop. It is offensive imho.
