the tariffs he levied and threatened levy didn't cause inflation when he was POTUS .. and he uses the threat of tariffs as a fairer trade bargaining tool .. Trump has something that is alien to leftists ..common sense .. for example the left claims Trump taxing foreign entities causes inflation but raising taxes American businesses doesn't cause inflation .

You obviously don't understand how international trade works. It takes months or years for price increases to worm their way to the consumer. The reckoning on the Trump Tariffs took longer because TRUMP PLAGUE and TRUMP RECESSION brought the economy to a dead halt.

Tariffs are NEVER a good idea. They increase costs to the consumer and prevent industries that should either modernize or die from doing so.
