Why many on the left irrationally fear "fascism"

^^^There goes one now!! :laugh2:

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/ FASH-iz-əm) is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement,[1][2][3] characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy. Opposed to anarchism, democracy, pluralism, liberalism, socialism, and Marxism, fascism is placed on the far-right wing within the traditional left–right spectrum.

Everyone on the planet disagrees with you except the American RWNJ fringe.
No, thinking people KNOW that total government is one side of the ledger, and no government is the opposite.

So fascism, communism, socialism, all are the same house.

Just different colors.

Yeah, Iran was a great place when the Shah was in control. Women could go with their head uncovered, you could drink alcohol, Tehran had an incredibly robust nightclub scene.

Now.....not so much.

What years were you in Iran?

What does fascism mean?

Many experts agree that fascism is a mass political movement that emphasizes extreme nationalism, militarism, and the supremacy of the nation over the individual. This model of government stands in contrast to liberal democracies that support individual rights, competitive elections, and political dissent.

In many ways, fascist regimes are revolutionary in nature. They advocate for the overthrow of existing systems of government and the persecution of political enemies. However, such regimes are also highly conservative in their championing of traditional values.

And although fascist leaders typically claim to support the everyman, in reality, their regimes often align with powerful business interests.
