No, we raised her to be an independent, self thinking adult. We raised her to not give a shit what the masses said or what the detractors said about her.

And that is who she is. When she was told she would fail if she moved 1000 miles away from home to place where she knew nobody she did not listen and on her own initiative did just that. She jumped through all the hoops to become a resident of the state and then put herself though nursing school without a single student loan, waiting tables and later doing home care for a elderly man. She did it all with minimal help from us and today is the culmination of all that hard work.

And most of all, I taught her to never give a rat's ass what mindless partisan sheep like you thought about her. I taught her that people like you only exist to attack and tear down anyone that does not march in lockstep with them. And I am happy to say she has learned that lesson well!

I can’t speak to DeSantis’ intent with that statement but when the term Monkey is used in relation to a black person then it is going to raise some eyebrows. There is history behind that term. DeSantis was either aware of that relation/history and did it anyway to cause controversy and stir the type of race arguments that we are having here... a tactic we see Trump do all the time... or he wasn’t aware and made an ignorant yet honest mistake. From the way he has reacted makes me think he knew exactly what he was doing.
