Do you think pregnancy is a disease that needs to be cured?

No. I think it's a health issue. It appears that Conservatives see pregnancy one of two ways. Either the mother is a slut and should be responsible for her travails or the mother is merely a vessel for another, more important human being. But under no circumstances do I see Conservatives regarding pregnancy as a woman's health issue, in spite of the fact that it's the woman's health at stake.

There is no health issue of birth control. Pregnancy is not a disease, particularly a life threatening disease. If anything non-prophylactic birth control is more dangerous since it DOES spread disease.

There is nothing, not one single thing about birth control that is so dangerous that it justifies being absolutely free. Sex is for the enjoyment of the participants, they should pay for it. If the participants want others to pay for it, those others should be included, such as by posting on-line.

Disease isn't the only concern of health providers. Pregnancy is a health issue, or there would be no need for OB/GYNs. the pregnant woman could get all the prenatal care she needs from Auto Zone or Sears or her hair stylist.
