It's unconstitutional. Hopefully in Trump's next term we can get them back.

I think that would be a good platform for Trump. The second amendment gives the "right to bear arms". Arms includes machine guns, tanks, cannons, jet fighters, even nuclear bombs.
If the government puts restrictions on any arms, they can put restrictions on all arms. You cannot have it both ways.
