He didn't leave whilst he was President of the USA, he won't IF he gets reelected (just taking as usual)
Anyway - it won't be up to him - but Congress, and no US government IMO, will give up on their ultimate tools, the UN and NATO.

At best/worst, they might reduce their $$ commitments towards maintaining world military dominance.
