World uniting against the United States

obama supported a takeover of egypt by radical muslims, same in libya, and now syria. Whose side is he really on?

Bush was respected, obama is treated like a clown. Putin is a man, obama is a pussy boy.

Actually we supported democratic reforms and a transition from a authoritarian dictatorships. You don't like who they elected. Surprise looks like a lot of Egyptians feel the same way. It's not at all surprising an authoritarian like Putin doesn't like the leader of the free world. What is surprising is the number of posters who side with the Russian leader.

Obama supported the muslim brotherhood in eqypt, that cannot be argued. He GAVE them F-16s and tanks which will very likely be used against Israel. The people of Egypt do not want the radical muslim brotherhood in power--they are revolting as we speak.

obama backed the wrong side---------or was it the side he wanted to win???? you really have to question his motives. Either he supports radical islam or he is a dimwitted idiot.

The United States has tried repression by supporting dictators for decades: All that it got us was terrorism-breeding societies of frustrated Arabs (and lot of cheap oil). The Brotherhood narrowly won a free and fair election. If they fail, the Egyptians have the right to throw them out next time. That’s democracy.

The White House said in a statement Tuesday that Obama had called Morsi on Monday, urging him to listen to “the voices of all Egyptians.”

Obama told Morsi that the United States was “committed to the democratic process in Egypt and does not support any single party or group.”

But the president also “stressed that democracy is about more than elections.”

Actually, I couldn't disagree with your assessment more. Barry supported the "students" who took over tahir square and supported the overthrow of an ally of America for the past 60 years.

Problem? Once again, the US was engaged in "nation building" - you refer to it as "overthrowing an evil dictator who doesn't govern the way WE expect him to". This man kept a nation of religious zealots and secular "pro-western ideology" Egyptians at bay for his entire time in power. Was he heavy-handed? You bet. However, was he any more "heavy-handed" than any other ruler for the past 2000 years? doubtful. Now, what has been accomplished?

We have a country that has descended into anarchy. Ismamic terrorist run freely, supported by a "elected" government of Islamic Jihadists. These "so-called" STUDENTS (code for Islamic Jihadists) are now running roughshod over the people and travel to this once great nation is discouraged. America has lost an extremely important ally in the region and "students" around the Middle East are throwing THEIR countries into anarchy.

Remember, this started with George Bush deciding that Iraq "wasn't the right kind of dictatorship". Barry Obama, being the astute "student" of history that he claims to be, threw caution to the wind and, just like Bush, supported the WRONG dictator again.

Politicians NEVER learn from the past. NEVER.

“That means protecting the rights of Egypt’s citizens, lifting the emergency law, revising the Constitution and other laws to make this change irreversible, and laying out a clear path to elections that are fair and free,” he said. “Above all, this transition must bring all of Egypt’s voices to the table.”

In his remarks, Mr. Obama promised “whatever assistance is necessary” to pursue a “credible transition to a democracy.”

That to me is a lot different, and cheaper, than invading and occupying a nation. Do you really think the West was behind the unrest in Egypt? Nobody ever said the transition to democracy would be easy, smooth or that the end product would resemble a Western Style Democracy. Frankly, the Islamics still want to unify the Arab under one nation too.

stop the spin, obama backed the wrong side. Face it and deal with it.

By "backed" don't you mean we simply recognized them as the winning political force in Egypt's democratic elections? I think that was an important step to ensuring that both countries remained committed to the agreements made under Mubarak?

Maybe he should send him some NSA-equipment so he can hear "all voices", too.

I am sure that the NSA listens into to even minor powers like Egypt and Turkey.

If/When Russia and EU strike at America, the smartest thing the people could do is rise up against this corrupt oligarchy and drive Obama and his posse from power - with the force of arms.

Sure thing, coward.

Those who rise against America should not have trials, simply put against the wall.
The bad news is that history shows that useful idiot assholes like you are usually amongst the first ones put against the wall.

You, Redfish, are spinning. Obama played it as narrowly as he could, and now we deal with the results.

Redfish, why do seem to have a problem with peoples determining their fates?

civil wars in other countries are none of our fucking business, we should not back either side. Why have we never been able to learn that?

LOL, he GAVE F-16s and tanks to the Morsi regime----then claims not to support either side-----sure boo boo, sure.

Obama is not a despot, Uncensored is a coward.

obama would like to be a despot. Sadly for him the constitution prevents that. It is not cowardly to oppose the worst president in the history of our nation. In fact, it is a an act of bravery.

Let's put this in perspective. Obama is far not the worse president in our history. And it is cowardly oppose him because of his color. That's you, Redfish.

You need to American up.

Oddball, please have the courage to tell all of us openly what you think of this. That is the manly way, the American way.

Without a doubt, the most disgusting post I have read in my time here at USMB.

Not at all. When cowards would strike at We the People, they, like terrorists, have forsaken the protection of the Constitution on which they are trampling. No one gives rats a hearing, just an extinction.
