The threat is from graduates who think we should pay for their $150k in debt when they can't get a job over $20k because there are no jobs in their chose field.

Any "X Studies" degree is a limited use degree, designed for academics, and can only usually result in either advocacy work or being a professor in "X Studies"

All colleges/universities should be restricted to offering majors/degrees only in topics that would "most-likely" afford the students actually being competitive in occupations (engineering, robotics, et cetera). All that other crap (gender-studies, et cetera), should be minor electives that have no bearing on obtaining a degree, just their personal entertainment.

If we decide what degrees based on political considerations rather than market considerations, many degrees including most arts would be cancelled (rightist political cancel culture).
