Well, "true love" of Trump is a ctually a toss up between the Clinton camp and the Jeb Bush one.

Hillary Clinton, were her email-gate controversies subside, would trump, Trump...and that is more of an objective assessment than a partisan one.....and an assessment from a democrat who does NOT want Clinton to be the nominee.

But, who must love Trump even more is the Bush camp (or at least the smarter advisors that Jeb has surrounded himself with.).........WHY???

Actually a simple chess move for those who play the game should be obvious. What Trump is doing is stifling all other GOP candidates.....the only ones who could have given Jeb serious worries.......Walker, Rubio, Perry, Paul, and Kasich......are finding the Trump shadow too hard to find daylight.

Conversely, Bush has the money, name recognition and network t ooutlast everyone else but Trump......and when the match-up is between Bush and Trump for the nomination, the saner republicans have little choice left for them, abandon the silly rhetoric and demagoguery and vote for Bush as their nomineee.

Bush's name recognition is one of the things hurting him.

There's always a choice. Even if the choice is not to vote at all.

One of many things. The open borders, bullshit education policy, and willingness to "compromise" our rights away should be a disqualifier.

If it was a 2 way battle then your scenario makes sense.

But all it takes is for one of the remaining dwarf candidates to gain a little traction in the primaries and hang in there so that neither Bush-3rd or T-Rump has an outright majority of delegates going into the convention.

What makes that interesting is who that other dwarf candidate might be. If it is Rubio he will toss his delegates to Bush-3rd and it is all over. If it is Cruz then he will give his to T-Rump instead.

But what if it is 2 or 3 of the others who have hung in long enough because of billionaires funding them so that they can have a seat at the table at the convention?

That will make for some interesting combinations to play out. But something I am willing to predict now is that we won't see a ticket with both Bush-3rd and T-Rump on it.

The thing with trump is hilarious, I can only think back to how right wingers were constantly bringing up obamas past or Hillary's past (Well, they still do..) Regardless, trump was extremely liberal up until this election, he flipped his positions on almost everything, and yet, republicans still love him. For fucks sake, he called for a one time wealth tax, why aren't you yelling and calling him a communist like you guys did to Obama, and still continue to do?

Mostly agree....My point was and is, that our beloved Trump is nothing more than a "useful idiot", mostly to the benefit of the Bush camp.....However, you're correct with the contention that it might take a rich right wing billionaire to fund a THIRD (or more) GOP candidate fighting until the convention; but if not, and the contest is a Bush-Trump one, my strong belief is that Bush will become the nominee.

Agree, and the support of Trump among the nitwits, is mostly based on the clever but deceitful spewed demagoguery and Trump's feeding their "delusions."

Trump even admitted to playing on delusions, but the right wing loons can care less.

A wealth tax is a very conservative idea. Conservatives hate the income tax. It takes money from hard working people on a graduated scale. It punishes achievement. A wealth tax would tax the riches stowed away in bank accounts. Like Nancy Pelosi's sizable account for example or the Kennedy's or the criminal Clinton bank accounts. For Fuck sake, do some reading before you put your digital foot in your mouth.

Actually, I'm all for a wealth tax, it's a viable way to help reduce the debt and reduce the rampant inequality currently present, however, your fellow conservatives will disagree with you.

If Bush-3rd becomes the nominee while T-Rump has plenty of delegates I am of the opinion that T-Rump will run as a third party candidate just to spite the GOP for dissing him by not giving him the nomination.

And yes, that behavior is readily apparent in his latest tweets about Megan Kelly. T-Rump doesn't take kindly to being dissed and he holds grudges.

Without the cussing, your idea makes sense.....except that the "wealth tax" is a conservative idea......Be honest, and tell us WHEN any republican seriously....I repeat...SERIOUSLY, has brought the raising of ANY tax in the last couple of decades.

The problem is that, with insane government spending, any tax increase can be viewed as a license to spend even more. If we were to impose structural limits on spending and debt, Conservatives would be a lot more open to discussing the revenue side of the equation.
