Change the Constitution. The attempts to change laws to be more restrictive are unlawful and unconstitutional. If as all you anti gunners claim you have the votes to change the Countries position on firearms ownership, concealed carry, open carry, hand guns, etc, then get an amendment made and passed that changes what the 2nd Amendment protects.

You all keep claiming you have the people that support you. So use them. All you need is to get an Amendment written and passed through Congress and the passed by 37 States. Shouldn't be a problem since you keep claiming the people back you.
