Why not arrest the vandals and put them in jail rather than remove the statue?

Good question. I guess it's because the left would rather erase history that doesn't please them
then do anything about it. And if they can erase any signs of the Confederacy, just think who they
can come after next.

It's the Communist way, disappearing the parts of history they don't approve of.
Like how any mention of Trotsky was erased by Stalin. And then Stalin was erased by Khrushchev.
And then Khrushchev was himself disappeared.
