Tunisians are fine people. I lived in Tunisia as a child from the age of 10 through 12 while my father was stationed at the U.S. Embassy there. This was an attack by Islamists that are trying to undo the only successful democratic transformation as a result of the 'Arab Spring". Even in the 60s, most Tunisians spoke French and were very Western. Very sad as it will deter the French and Italian tourists from going to Tunisia.

As for the Middle East, I don't know what the attraction is to a desert climate place, where whatever Islamic cultural attributes they have, I can get along very well without them.

Want to go traveling ? Lots of land to cover in the USA, Canada, and Europe.
