I picked this one up today. It had been mouldering in the gun shop on consignment for near three years at a collector's price and it had a lot of interest but no takers.....I ended-up with it for $300.00.
Made in December of 1959 so no serial number. It has a few slight dings but nothing unusual for a well kept 65 year old .22.
I used my last Weaver D4 4.2X scope on it. I've always found that they hold zero better than other scopes on the Nylon 66.
I have one Nylon-66 with a D4 I used as a early teen and it still is zeroed......All I've done is adjust it for my eyes a few times over the years.
Sadly it looks like collector interest has fell-off over the past couple years except for the rare examples and you can snag one in Mohawk Brown from the auction sites for under $400 after everything is said and done.
I'm sure you old timers remember this.
