No asshole. The US actually targets and terminates ISIS leadership and forces along with their equipment. Read the link or watch some news. Russia is not targeting ISIS. They claimed they would, but ISIS is not in the area they attacked. You miss the whole point. Russia is not targeting ISIS.

The airstrikes are in support of forces on the ground, mostly Pesmerga or Kurds but also Iraqi. Maybe you remember taking back Kobani where airstrikes took out thousands of ISIS fighters supporting the Kurds, or retaking the oil fields and dams in Iraq.
