This pretty much explains everything anyone needed to know about Trump, without someone writing a book. This was a useless four years in office while he served himself and his family.I don’t think you have a good impression of what other people think about you.
The problems with Trump were numerous. Opposition to his tax policy was genuine. Opposition to his immigration policies was genuine. Opposition to his stance with NATO was genuine. Opposition to his changes to the ACA was genuine.
But that’s only part of his effect on the country. Truth be told, Trump didn’t actually have a lot of policy. It wasn’t a period where much legislation was passed. There weren’t that many changes.
Trump’s more significant effects were how he misled people. Under Trump, the truth became a matter of opinion. The intense distrust he instilled in his followers served only to suit his purposes. His friends who committed crimes were innocent and unfairly prosecuted. The people who genuinely opposed him were commies intent on destroying America. This culminated in Jan 6th where he used that distrust to attempt to take away our votes (or voice if you will) because he didn’t believe that the country didn’t re-elect him.
