1st Capitol rioter to stand trial gets 7 years, the longest sentence for a Jan. 6 defendant so far

I don’t think you have a good impression of what other people think about you.

The problems with Trump were numerous. Opposition to his tax policy was genuine. Opposition to his immigration policies was genuine. Opposition to his stance with NATO was genuine. Opposition to his changes to the ACA was genuine.

But that’s only part of his effect on the country. Truth be told, Trump didn’t actually have a lot of policy. It wasn’t a period where much legislation was passed. There weren’t that many changes.

Trump’s more significant effects were how he misled people. Under Trump, the truth became a matter of opinion. The intense distrust he instilled in his followers served only to suit his purposes. His friends who committed crimes were innocent and unfairly prosecuted. The people who genuinely opposed him were commies intent on destroying America. This culminated in Jan 6th where he used that distrust to attempt to take away our votes (or voice if you will) because he didn’t believe that the country didn’t re-elect him.
This pretty much explains everything anyone needed to know about Trump, without someone writing a book. This was a useless four years in office while he served himself and his family.

From your link.

"The judge said there are lot of people “who do something stupid that’s dangerous that we don’t even consider detaining.”

“I’m frustrated because I don’t think this is a hard case,” the judge said. “I have defendants in here with significant criminal histories that the government agrees to release.”

“We have no evidence of him — at least that’s been given to me — being a radical or a member of a group that advocates violence toward the police or others. We’ve got no criminal history. … What evidence is there that he’s a danger to society?” the judge asked.

The judge allowed Lartigue to stay out of jail."

That is presented by your link as an example to support your point.

The guy in question? Was caught on camera making a molotov cocktail.

And the judge says there is no evidence of him being a "radical" or a "member of a group that advocates".

And I agree. That's the point.

There might be no evidence that that guy was a member of a group. Maybe he was NOT formally a member of any group.

But, he was there to riot with the lefty movement. He rioted. He made a fucking BOMB, on camera.

And he was released on bail.

If one of the rioters of 1/6 was on film, making a molotov cocktail BOMB, do you think he would have been released on bail?

LOL!!!! I will give you a hint. The answer is NO.
Even though most of the demonstrations have been peaceful, Trump has made “law and order” a major part of his reelection campaign, casting the protests as lawless and violent in mostly Democratic cities he says have done nothing to stymie the mayhem. If the cities refuse to properly clamp down, he says, the federal government has to step in.

Where is the massive investigations into who conspired and organized them?

Where is the massive investigations into the dem politicians who may or may not have worked with or supported the riots?

Where is the massive overcharging, so that they can be terrorized into pleas?

Where is the massive politicalized zeal, to put them away for as long as possible, because of the Evul?

ect. ect. ect.

You are welcome to lie to yourself about what is going on here. Don't expect any of us to buy your shit.

And, don't cry when the next level of escalation comes. Because it will. That is what happens when you escalate. It keeps going.

What do you think the next level will be?
Huh?
The killing of George Floyd inspired them, retard. Those arrested were charged accordingly. You are operating under the false belief that there is equivalency with the 1/6 insurrectionists. There is not.

This guy is out to lunch over this argument. There are no apples to apples comparisons. Not to mention, he went off topic. This thread isn't about the BLM protests. The mods should straighten his ass out about this. All he does is troll with off topic garbage.

Idiot... again... your own link says they weren't asked to leave.

They were escorted out by police and came back under false pretenses. Whether or not any of hte people that removed them from the building verbally explained that they were being throw out, is irrelevant.

Even liberals are not retarded enough to not understand the meaning of being thrown out of a building.

Your position is absurd.

Kind of off topic. The point in THIS thread is hte difference in treatment between lefties and righties.

You people use your government power to protect your rioters and to go after your enemy rioters.

That is a clear violation of their rights.

Correct. The lefty riots were far worse. Dozens DIED. Over a billion in damages and looting.

And the lefty rioters have not been treated the way the righties are.

That is a violation of their rights.

False. Everyone is getting due process according to the law. Don’t whine because you don’t like the outcomes.

What you don't understand, Correll, is that BLM and others, are private citizens. They never took an oath of office like this trump dipshit did. BLM has some righteous grievances although yeah, they sometimes go too far. trump on the other hand had no grievances. There was never any 'steal' to stop in the first place. The spoiled piece of shit just wanted to stay in office and he did take an oath to serve and protect. You need to maybe do some reading and research instead of making a fool of yourself protecting trump.

Just from the "making an example of them", that is not true. And that assumes that that is the only violation, which is very unlikely.

That you are sympathetic to the BLM rioters and hostile to the 1/6 rioters, doesn't make it right, to go after the 1/6 rioters harder.

It is still a violation of their right to "equal protection" before the Law.

My position is based on what YOU posted. :eusa_doh:

Great stuff. Hope he dies in priaon.First of many I hope.
The J6 political persecutions claimed another scalp when Guy Reffitt was sentenced to more than seven years in prison, even though he did not engage in any violence, nor enter the U.S. Capitol. The outrageous punishment, the longest prison term yet handed down, appears to be government retribution for Reffitt's "hyperbolic statements" secretly recorded in his home by his teenage son. So, once again, the D.C. Despots have thrown down the gauntlet against constitutionally protected free speech.

You were the one who went off topic a long time ago injecting the BLM riots, so cut the crap.

And you still have not addressed my links or challenged the links. All you have are rants son. LOL! You're pitiful. You have nothing to offer.

Guy Wesley Reffitt, 49, of Wylie, Texas, was convicted by a federal jury in March of five felony counts, including obstruction of justice as well as entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a firearm. Right-wingers always lie.
