246,000 New Jobs Drop Rate to 7.7%

How about we cut proportionately until spending levels are back to 2007 (based on relative increases to each dept/agency)?

Ah that ousld boost the military since much of their money was outside the budget in supplemental spending bills.

I didn't say BUDGET, I said SPENDING.

uhm no it wouldn't. those were supplementals "off budget", meaning as long as there are no more supplemental bills ( and of course obama supplementals are treated differently than Bush supplementals :rolleyees)...the annual budget outlay is, the budget., which we only know a full year later.....now if you can get the WH and the senate to come up with a budget, good luck.

And how many are Not In The Labor Force? The increase in those who have dropped out over the past year is 1.8M, greater than the growth in the Labor Force.

And there's a lovely picture at the link, which demonstrates just how truly awful the so-called Obama Recovery is.

CHART: THE SCARIEST JOBS CHART EVER - Business Insider
And last year there were 2,744,110 new Social Security awards and 979,973 new disability awards. Do you expect people to work until they drop dead on the job and do you expect the sick and injured to work too?

right , becasue all of a sudden in the last 4 years, in a dem. admin. with a plenitude of Osha's and assorted state, fed. agencies and reporting authorities up the ass, jobs have become just so much more harmful....
There were 895,011 new disability awards in 2008. Obviously it has nothing to do with the Party of the administration, but to the AGING of the population.
Don't you ever get tired of making a fool of yourself?

Market is in record territory
Unemployment has dropped 2.5% since the end of the recession
Leading economic indicators are all up

Not bad for a socialist president is it?

Know what else is at a record high? The FEDs spending... So good chit RW, you support the FEDs dumping cash on rich people as long as it makes the markets look good... But how long will it last and what will you do with the trillions in debt from doing it?

Debts a bitch ain't it?

How much is coming from new spending? How much from fixed expenses?
What do you want to cut first?

great question, lets check the budget.....oh wait, we can't....

I'm like, totally, down with that.

I'll also note, somewhat ironically, that in 2007, we had two wars underway. Why on earth couldn't we reduce military spending below 2007 levels with the Iraq one now ended?
Defense spending in 2007 was $650 billion and now is $900 billion. DOD is bitching about a 42 billion cut this year and you think they will accept $250 billion cut!!! :cuckoo:

The private sector is hiring, the public sector is bleeding jobs. Why, cause the Republican Party is still stuck on Starve the Beast policies. Look at the attacks on public school teachers, police officers and all government employees. The far right - and many who posted above are part of that extreme set - really believe that cutting taxes, cutting government and cutting regulations is the panacea for the myriad problems facing our nation and will lead to a private sector utopia.

Speak for yourself, just because YOU are too stupid to google it doesn't mean everyone else has to be as stupid as YOU. You are the typical Misinformation Voter who does nothing but parrot the disinformation spread by the GOP hate media echo chamber while thinking you are so much more informed than anyone who disagrees with you. :asshole:

Uh. Disability is not Aging.

There has been a surge in Disability claims due to the long term unemployed being unable to find jobs. One can receive disability due to stress conditions.

Really? How does one go about getting SSI? I assume you didn't mean worker's comp or general assistance. So you must know the procedure, do tell.

You Low Information Voters are incredibly tedious.

A search engine is your friend.

The Social Security and Supplemental Security Income disability programs are the largest of several Federal programs that provide assistance to people with disabilities. While these two programs are different in many ways, both are administered by the Social Security Administration and only individuals who have a disability and meet medical criteria may qualify for benefits under either program.

Social Security Disability Insurance pays benefits to you and certain members of your family if you are "insured," meaning that you worked long enough and paid Social Security taxes.

Supplemental Security Income pays benefits based on financial need.
