The down side is the ones that don't quit are going to replace them with the more fantactical new breed of democrats.

Yep, they sure are. Your side is electing the fanatical veiw of your side, so guess what the lefts reaction will be to balance the scale. Some of those retiring will chase money in lobby. Some are just fucking fed up. These fuckers are policy people. No concrete evidence of doing a damn thing with your life. Mean while your constituent mainly bitch no matter what you do. Campaigning sucks most hate having to show up to every dinner and festival with a smile always. I at least can drive by bridges, on roads, under underpasses with concrete evidence of accomplishment. Some of those people are just glad to get the fuck out and will golf, fish or what ever it is that give them pleasure.

A lot of them are older. We have the tea partyers in congress, and they are much younger in the republicans' base.
