3 People (Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos & Warren Buffett) are richer than the poorest 50% of Americans

people own their money, not the People. That's what progressives never seem to understand.

We the People created a country we like to call The United States
It is a government of the people, by the people and for the people

Government was supposed to be overhead, not the end all be all.

Right now it is the government of the unelected bureaucrat, fed by people like you who feel the need to lord over others by proxy.

Still is

They do not lord over others by proxy. We the People elect them.
If we are not satisfied, we vote them out

The federal government is too removed from the people for some of the things it rules over. and We elected Trump to drain the swamp, and the swamp is resisting.

Idiots like you love unelected bureaucrats because you know they are the only method to get in policies and keep policies people don't like.

None of this matters, because money is just an illusion. How else could the GOP tax reform bill that would add another $1.5 trillion to the deficit be explained?

And, since it is only an illusion, don't worry about the fact that the DOW just dropped over 200 points this morning.

Why are all the libs suddenly concerned with $1.5 trillion over 10 years (that's $150 billion per year) when Obama spent $10 trillion dollars in just 8 years (which is $1.25 trillion per year)?

That just proves liberalism is a mental defect!

Why are conservatives all of a sudden so UNconcerned about the deficit?

In the face of economic collapse, conservatives refused to consider a deficit
After savage natural disasters, conservatives refused to consider a deficit

But to bring tax cuts to billionaires?

Who cares about a deficit?

Did you know that not everything you read is accurate?

This is the truth.

Three Richest Americans Now Own More Wealth Than Bottom Half of US Combined: Report

"The elite ranks of our billionaire class continue to pull apart from the rest of us," a new Institute for Policy study analysis finds
by Jake Johnson, staff writer

In the United States, the 400 richest individuals now own more wealth than the bottom 64 percent of the population and the three richest own more wealth than the bottom 50 percent, while pervasive poverty means one in five households have zero or negative net worth.

"The wealthiest 25 individuals in the United States today own $1 trillion in combined assets," the report notes. "These 25, a group equivalent to the active roster of a major league baseball team, hold more wealth than the bottom 56 percent of the U.S. population combined, 178 million people."'

In order to get a broader sense of the size of the chasm between rich and poor in the U.S., Collins and Hoxie place the net worth of the top one percent and the bottom one percent side by side.

"The wealthiest 25 individuals in the United States today hold more wealth than the bottom 56 percent of the U.S. population combined, 178 million people." "All combined, households in the bottom one percent have a combined negative net worth of $196 billion," the report finds. "For comparison, the top one percent, a category holding the exact same number of people, have positive $33.4 trillion in combined net worth."

It is time to close the loopholes, increase their income tax and even the fucking playing field. That my friends is the right thing to do.
I can never understand why republicans vote against their own self interests.

Their wealth isn’t based on income from an employer. They built their empires and created things that people buy or use.

Just because half the country is content with being bottom feeders doesn’t mean the people actually doing stuff should be penalized for it.
Many rich people didn’t earn their money. It came from inheritances. Like Trump, he not only inherited his fortune he grew it on the backs of small businessmen by not paying them or outright fraud. When they took him to court he could outlast them and they’d give up. Then he’d move on to his next victims.
And you voted for this fraud. Says so much about you.

So who are they and what are their political beliefs? For some reason your Soros article misses that.

Of all the state and local subsidy dollars tracked, half went to the top 30 companies, led by Boeing. The aerospace giant alone has received $13 billion in subsidies & hasn't paid income taxes for 15 years.

Technically, no company pays any type of taxes. We pay it for them when we buy their products as it is included in their costs.

Not true.....it affects their profit margin

If a company could just "pass on" taxes through higher prices on their product, they would already be doing it
If the market would support a higher priced product....they would be charging it

We need to go back to 1950's level taxes on the fucking rich!

That is the right thing to do to rebuild our economy along with strong Unions for our workers.

The progressive slogan should be "GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE"

We used to have more money for infrastructure, education, science

But since our wealthiest taxpayers have put us on an austerity budget we are scraping to get by
That simply is not true as it is fact that the budget for things like education goes UP every year

Whenever this issue comes up the obvious question which no one can answer is so what?
How does it hurt you if someone makes more money than you?

If you make enough to pay your bills and support yourself and your family what does it matter?

These wealthy people did not take their money from others they made their wealth and earned their money so why should they be punished?

Especially since most of their wealth is invested which provides endless jobs and opportunities for others?

Other than some emotional sentiment how is it the right thing to do to raise ANYONE"S taxes?

It doesn't hurt me

But why are we offering them more tax breaks when they obviously don't need it?
Because any tax break for anyone is a good thing.

You still did not answer why is it just the right thing to do to take more of their money?

Why?

Because we are a society. We achieve more as a group than we do as a bunch of individuals
We have sold out to supply side economics and have less to show for it as a society

Any society forcing others to give more to achieve more is not a society worth living in.

We do not have less to show for it and supply side is proven to work.

So the fact dispute you and you cannot demonstrate how it is the right thing to do

You can check out any time you like.....

Since supply side eased the burden on the wealthy, we have less for infrastructure, education and healthcare

Answer my question first!

I can not answer for "libs". I can only answer for myself, and I have been concerned about the deficit ever since Baby Bush added Prescription drugs to Medicare, which increased Medicare expenses by 12%, without ever suggesting a corresponding increase in Medicare revenue. Now, my major in college was Management, which required me to take a lot of courses in finance, economics, and business administration, but I do not recall any courses on how to dramatically increase spending without also increasing revenue enhancement.
