The anti-gun organization cites a total of 74 school shootings since Dec. 14, 2012. However, several of the shootings have come under scrutiny as some of them appear to have occurred off-campus and at least one may have been an instance of self-defense.
Journalist Charles C. Johnson dug deeper into Everytowns data on Tuesday and published his findings on Twitter. He also criticized the fact that the group classified violent disputes and gang-related violence as school shootings.
Its not a school shooting when someone goes and shoots a specific person on campus. Its a shooting that happens to take place at school, he wrote.

Problem is that the legal drug market is too regulated. The prices are due to that too high. That's why there is still a big black market in states like Colorado. If the regulations would just be repealed and there would be more competition, the black market is going to die.

You can try to prevent criminals from getting guns and most likely you will fail.
We can't stop the illegal sale of drugs why on earth would you think you can stop the illegal sale of firearms or anything else for that matter?
IMO Our best option is to make all crimes committed while in the possession of a firearm, whether or not that firearm was actually used or even brandished, federal offenses punishable by a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.
People who commit crimes while in possession of a firearm are dangers to society and should be removed from society for good.
I think everyone agrees that gangbangers are a major contributor to our murder rate. They make you, as a good guy, look bad for owning a gun. We need to do everything we can to dry up the supply of guns.

The shooting at Northwest here in Clarksville had nothing to do with students.
They found a body of a 38 yr old man in the school parking lot at 6am.

Sadly, I am finding a common thread in a number of these. They are in bad neighborhoods, gang turf wars and happening on grounds after hours, by felons, that would have a gun whether or not we confiscated guns as they acquired them illegally.
one involved a parent in a gang ridden neighborhood allowing their daughter to play on the playgound at 7 at night alone. She was caught in the crossfire.
With this common thread in a number of them it seems more needs to be done to bring these gangs down, clean up these neighborhoods.

I think everyone agrees that gangbangers are a major contributor to our murder rate. They make you, as a good guy, look bad for owning a gun. We need to do everything we can to dry up the supply of guns.
Will we stop every gun from getting in the hands of criminals? Of course not. But if we can cut 20%, that is 20% less guns on the street
Prison is not our answer to guns or drugs. We have a larger percentage of our citizens in prison than anywhere on earth. It is obviously not working

That's certainly true.Because laws do work if you implement the right ones.
For example, if we were to implement a law that said everybody could carry, most people still wouldn't bother. But a few still would... and some guy contemplating knocking over a store or mugging an old lady, or shooting up a shopping mall, would know most people didn't have a gun... but somewhere in the crowd, a few did. And so he'd ber a lot more likely to turn around and walk away without doing anything.
All we need, is that law saying anybody can carry.
Oops, I guess we already made that law. It's in the Bill of Rights.
So it looks like we need one more requirement: We have to OBEY the laws we made.
Most the mass shooters are suicidal, the idea of some one being armed won't slow them. Look at the Vegas shooting. Only people killed were armed.
74 school shootings in the past 77 weeks.
Not 74 chemical bombings, not 74 stabbings, not 74 bows and arrows, not 74 hatchet attacks. The common denominator (do I need to define that term for you?) is guns.
If you Ammo-sexuals want to keep, sleep with and insert your guns into your privates because I really think it's that sick, then figure out a way to stop this epidemic.
This data tells me that the parents of these kids are pretty much out of touch with their kids, so start with them.
Do something besides shoving the 2nd Amendment in my face and whining about your fucking rights. Your rights end when innocent people who cannot protect themselves die.

The problem with this list and with anti gun nuts in general is its all bullshit. most of these incidents did not involve a school shooting at all. A student from school x comits suicide. its on this list as a school shooting. shote reported heard near school y, it makes the list. kid brings toy gun to school, it makes the list. some guy kills his wife near the school it makes the list. no wonder no one takes these idiots seriously
So someone who uses a gun to commit suicide is not considered a shooting? Really.
