80% of the Letitia James case for "Fraud" was tossed....statute of limitations

Is this an indication that the democrat's "lawfare" against Trump will fail?

He got the trial requested by his lawyers.

Technically you language is a little backward.

His lawyers didn't request a Bench Trial.

By default Civil Trials are a bench trial and one or more of the parties has to request a Jury Trial. The plaintiff (the State) did request a non-jury trial. The respondent (Trump) didn't request a Jury Trial.

It's not that they (Trump) requested a Bench Trial, they didn't request a Jury Trial.

The comparison being made here is that in Civil Asset forfeiture, the funds go to the people pushing the forfeiture, usually the Police Department, the DA, or the local government. here the Judge could give Trump's money directly to NY State's coffers, the same government suing him AND trying him.

Awfully convenient.
Trump did the crime. I don’t see why anyone should cry for him. He was already on top of the world and did it not because he needed it it, as a petty theif might do, but just because he always has to have more.

Two things.

#1 The 80% is "gone" is incorrect. (Top Image) - While there can't be charges based on activity between 2011 and 2013, they can be used to demonstrate the persistent fraudulant activity that occurred in 2014 and later. (The time from of statute of limitations for the actual charges.)

#2 Second image, the idea that the back or insurer must make a claim or there is no "victim" is irrelevant to the law (top image) and as discussed already by the Judge (bottom image). Being engorged by excess profits based on persistent fraudulent activity is sill against the law.

Hope this helps.

SO how did they "profit" from the "fraudulent" statements?

That’s informative to a lay person, but I don’t see how that exonerates his lawyers in any way or the guy that hired them. Supposedly he always hires the best, but that claim seems a bit suspicious in this instance.

Lower interest and insurance rates based on fraudulent submissions.

Didn't say it exonerates anyone.

But the claim that Trump asked for a Bench Trial isn't really correct. Trump (through his lawyers) had a responsibility to ask for a Jury Trial in a civil matter, a request they didn't exercise.

Just say'n.

And the same government paying this hack judge's salary.
Trump feels he should be allowed to bribe judges. That’s why he’s up in arms about this. He has in the past benefitted greatly from the rulings of “government judges”, so it’s apparent that only when you’re on his side, are you considered intelligent and competent.

And I’m saying it’s his lawyers’ fault, not some conspiracy or miscarriage of justice, as he contends.

He "feels" that way? Prove it.

What Crime? This is a civil case, so that word doesn't apply.

Now lets apply these rules to every other business in the State of New York and see how they do.

Maybe it's all part of 11 Dimensional Chess by claiming:

#1 His lawyers were incompetent for not getting a Jury Trial.

#2 His lawyers were incompetent for repeatedly making bad arguments in motions for which they were sanctioned by the Judge.

#3 More to come.
.
.
After the trial have new lawyers file a motion for mistrial based on incompetent representation?

WW

LOL So how do you prove that when the Ins. Cos say they were not defrauded?

Documentary evidence of overvaluation and inflation of square footage. (Submissions, documents, emails, texts, etc.)

Testimony by insiders showing that the overvaluations were done on purpose.

Testimony by expert witnesses showing that the valuations greatly exceeded standard business practices.

Same as any other way that claims are proven in court.

Like this sham?
Your willingness to believe any bullshit Donald Trump tells you is a joy to behold. For years I've watched this clown and his phony companies get away with tax fraud, and all manner of fraud and dishonesty, while destroying subtrades, investors, banks, and really anyone who believed him and bought into his lies.

American elected Trump on the basis of the lie that he was a great, successful, self-made billionaire. 7 business bankruptcies is a world record. Nobody has had more bankruptcies or lost more money than Donald J. Trump.

Here's some more links you won' read:

I know that’s possible in a criminal trial, but I don’t think that’s the case in civil actions.

Who's going to file all of these motions??? All of the lawyers Trump hired are either unwilling to work for free, or unwilling to work for Trump. He has 4th rate lawyers because nobody wants a client like Trump, who doesn't listen to their advice and who insists on going on TV and confessing to the things he's been charged with.

WTF does your obsession with his bankruptcies have to do with this hack judge and sham trial, Dumbass?
