The 8th vacation in 6 months.

The "American people" understand that repealing Obamacare 40 times ... is hard work.

Very hard work.

To be judged by what they didn't do. Legislation they didn't pass. Or couldn't revoke. That's how Boner wants to be remembered. Well, along with being the worst speaker of the house, ever.

Good to see they go on paid vacation while Federal Employees furlough one day a week because Congress refuses to do its job

Today was a good day for the repealers, that earned them 1 month off.

They conjured up a confusing bill that is supposed to block IRS from implementing the ACA - one that the mainstream Republicans could not even understand.

Heard in the Senate was: "What the hell does it do?"

They leave for recess every August. As Don't Taz me said.....'unfortunately they come back.'

The first time Congress has taken a vacation in the Summer...
Thanks for pointing that out to us.

And just where has Obama been lately...
He has taken his stand up act on the road...

The radical GOP wingnuts have no alternative plan to replace Obamacare - they just want to destroy it. I suspect they're in for a rude awakening in 2014 and 2016.

You really don't want to get into quotes Obama makes do you???

Making the American economy fail isn't the easiest job in the world but it is a job the Republicans know well.

Obama is at the wheel of this cluster

We would be 6' under if Obama had an open slate

With what little he has been able to accomplish requires 2 generations to unscrew

In regards to one post how many vacations has Obama taken? In regards to Federal Employee furlough's of one day a week that was due to the sequester cuts which was the brainchild of President Obama who also promised to veto any legislation which would stop them from taking effect or given him any flexibility in deal with them.

Congress in session/Congress out of session - how will we know the difference!

Too funny. More people want Obamacare repealed than stricter gun laws, yet here are.

Why is it you democrats won't work with the Republicans? Why won't you do your jobs and what happened to you desire to compromise?

Compromise with the GOP, and bring the 40+ bills that the House has sent to the Senate to a vote.

Well how dare those Republicans do what the people they Represent ASK of them..and repealing this monster government crap, ObamaCare is ONE OF THEM

Don't like that DEMOCRACY so much when it is used against you eh?

Sequester is Congresses baby and Congress' alone

They had a job to do. Reach consensus on spending cuts. They didn't even try

Not exactly factual. Believe what you will however.

PolitiFact | PolitiFact's guide to sequestration

Whose idea was it?

It was Obama’s idea, but Republicans agreed to it and provided key support.

The most detailed account on this point is in The Price of Politics, a book by Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward about the 2011 debt ceiling standoff. His reporting shows the White House developed the idea and presented it to Democratic leadership on July 28 and to Boehner’s team on July 30.

Congress had a simple job to do to avoid sequester. Gain bipartisan agreement on spending cuts. They didn't even try

Well, the GOP has a real problem. When significant portions of the ACA go into effect in 2014, and people find out that it will allow those whose only recourse previously was the emergency room to have health care, it will become a permanant fixture, until it morphs into a Single Payer Universal System. And the GOP will once more be seen as just an obstruction in the road, as they were for Social Security and MediCare.
