The country really isn't that divided, although fox news has a vested interest in keeping their listeners worried sick about anything and everything. In reality, many don't even vote, especially in off year elections. Politicians aren't as divided that much either. Most of the republicans in the senate and the congress these last few days have been siding with Obama as long as he plays their game of giving more and more power to corporations, both foreign and domestic, via the TPP. This is solidarity. Obama may soon register as a republican I hear.

Fox has shared both sides of the debate. They are not telling people what to think. Fox hosts have been quite fair.
CNN has been very pro-gay marriage but they also have very visible gays working for them.
Marriage is a good thing. It is a bond between two loving people. The sexuality should not matter.
This was about what is right and not what is religious. This was a civil matter, that we have the right to be with the person we love. It is about sharing their life and not being prejudicially excluded in healthcare, hospitals, shared property, insurance, business because of who they love.
It is about not being allow the same services and access that any married couple are allowed. It is about being allowed to be a family.

This country has always been divided by economic class and different religions. With stagnated wages since the 80s the division is now more pronounced. Only going to get worse. Settle in for massive class warfare.

It is for god to judge the sins of men. We can only judge the crimes under our civil law from within our courtrooms.

Go back to the hebrew, not just the modern english version of the bible.
Much of the greek of the OT was mistranslation.

There are media outlets which work very hard to install an Us vs. Them mentality in their followers. Their revenue dollars depend absolutely on their followers always believing something is being stolen from them by someone who looks different than them. English is not the original language of the bible.

English is not even 'english', it is germanic. It was not a native tongue for the isles. Why in heaven would people think is can be a true translation for the bible?............and the bible has gone through a lot of translations before the thought of an english bible.

S&M is consensual, there are safe words and guild lines by those who engage. It does not usually involve more than two people, the dom and submissive, and does not have to involve sex. Does not require any particular sexual orientation by those involved.

Christians live literally BY the Bible.
Christians have the Holy Spirit living in them to reveal God's Word to them.
That's why interpretations by non-Christian's can't be trusted.

Two consenting adults have a right who to love and who to marry.

We don't prevent a mixed marriage of black/white or differing faiths from having the same rights as a heterosexual white couple same faith does.

So if a brother and a sister love each other, are two consenting adults, they should be allowed to marry?
