Cue Laff-Trak:

In eulogy, Cuomo calls for national gun control: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) renewed his call for national gun control legislation Saturday when he delivered a eulogy for a state attorney who was fatally wounded by a stray bullet in Brooklyn earlier this month.

Let them try....they've been doing it for the last seven years and have gotten stuffed at every turn

Typical gun fetishist OP's ignorance of the Constitution.

There is no constitutional restriction on national gun control legislation.

That is just a fallacy perpetrated by the NRA to dupe gun fetishists into purchasing more guns than they need.

someone gets shot in a city with some of the tightest gun control in the country,

and he thinks gun control will work nationwide?

Nothing in the Constitution prevents gun control.

Cuomo doesn't mention what type of gun control he advocates – what makes you think it represents 'his understanding' of the Constitution when that understanding might very well comport with Second Amendment jurisprudence:

New York governor calls for national gun control in eulogy for aide

Let them try....they've been doing it for the last seven years and have gotten stuffed at every turn
Let him try 'what' – again, you don't even know what type of gun control he's advocating.

Calling for 'National gun control' isn't in of itself 'un-Constitutional,' there are Federal firearm regulatory measures which are perfectly Constitutional.

I notice you switched gears. Figured out your other comment was daffy duck didn't you?

Correct.

In fact, the Constitution acknowledges the fact that the Second Amendment is indeed subject to government regulation:

"Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose: For example, concealed weapons prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment or state analogues. The Court’s opinion should not be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms."

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA v. HELLER

Even the NRA love child Heller decision acknowledges the apropriateness of gun control

actually based on recent supreme court twistings of the constitution, if some states recognizes the right to carry, then all states must recognize the right to carry.

This fails as a false comparison fallacy, confusing 14th Amendment jurisprudence with the Second Amendment.

Obergefell would only be relevant, for example, if a given state sought to deny an African-American resident the right to carry a firearm based solely on his race.
