A woman in Ranger School...

Blogs written by REMF....the reference to a "7th Cav" platoon refusing an order to walk a trail is horseshit. After the Pentagon decided not to win that war after Tet, we who'd given our best, left in disgust. After '68 even AC/AM had to take on draftees who were shit soldiers who's disregard for unit discipline got their patrols shot to pieces. And of course there were the ticket-puncher officers who sent these dopers and drunks into places they'd never get out of alive. But even before all this, if a First-Shirt thought the LT had made a mistake in judgement, he'd disobey an order and stand his ground. The LTs quickly learned if his non-coms weren't in on his decisions, he'd have his hands full. No "whole company" ever refused direct orders...that's horseshit.

Not because you say so, troop. Read the material above. If you don't like it, tough. Mutiny and lesser offenses were not uncommon among the draftees.
