“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said."

First, none of them were predictions from climate scientists.
Second, they were all statements that action had to be taken soon to prevent much larger problems in the future, hence they were all correct statements.

"Within a few years" was some newspaper editor's bogus addition. Viner was speaking of the far future. Viner's actual statement about the far future is most likely a correct prediction.
