In a rare case of bipartisanship, the Accelerating Deployment of Versatile, Advanced Nuclear for Clean Energy (ADVANCE) Act was signed into law by President Biden on July 9.

It currently takes an average of 16 years to bring a new nukular plant online. Too much red tape.

In other parts of the world, it takes half a dozen years.

Ever since the Three Mile Island disaster, and the Chernobyl meltdown, opposition to nuclear power has been high in the US.

However, that resistance is melting away as a result of our electrical grid being strained to its limits.

Nuclear power only makes up about 9 percent of our power supply.

Our large tech companies with their massive server farms, and these giant crypto mining farms, and the rise of AI processing needs, means we are going to be choking on our own success before too long.

So, finally, Congress has come together to make the production of new nuclear power plants, and the upgrading and repair of existing plants, a lot easier to achieve. Thus, the ADVANCE Act.

The ADVANCE Act also limits the non-US sourcing of uranium.
