A unified nationwide curriculum? That would piss off the Smaller Government Creationists for starters. But I think it would be an excellent idea, on one condition - a nationwide rebuilding of infrastructure. That would never fly.

That is true at least in the rural South, regardless of race or ethnicity, and probably true for the rest of suburban and rural America.
