Aliens or god, you have to pick one or more

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

Anyone who takes that statement literally should realize that if God was somehow responsible for the creation of the Earth, then God existed before the Earth and is thus extraterrestrial, or "alien".

I tend to think of alien as being after the beginning of the universe and God before. Yes/No? Thoughts?

I got a brilliant idea... Forget we had this discussion and said the above and move FORWARD.

Probably No

There may be aliens that lived in other dimensions.

Well so far the best explanation is the Egyptians did some thing similar so there's your proof. Except these were not moved across sand, there was not a large civilization for the manpower for such projects, and the largest block of the Pyramid is about 5% of what these blocks weight. Also why would someone planning a structure go out of their way, really out of their way, to use building material that unwieldy.

It is one of those inconvenient truths. It would seem religious people are much more open minded than those who can simply dismiss the obvious because it threatens their world view.

There is another theory for how the pyramids were constructed that doesn't require the movement of 80 ton limestone blocks. If you have an open mind you can read this scientific explanation and the attached pages for yourself.

Personally I have always found this to be the most obvious solution since it fits in with how the Romans constructed their buildings and aquaducts and how we build today.

The Mind's Moat

I remember a line from the religiosity-exposition film "Exorcist: The Beginning" (2004) that read, "Sometimes, I think the best view of God is from Hell."

Scientists and science-fiction writers entertain notions of 'alternative' forms of humanoid intelligence to create analogy models of evolutionary adaptation.

The fictional comic book super-villain Brainiac (DC Comics) is an alien-like diabolical mad scientist who serves as a nemesis of the valiant superhero Superman. To appreciate the contributions of Superman, we must understand how the hero challenges Brainiac.

Perhaps we are curious about alien architecture because we want to question the activity-interests of a hypothetical God who presides over a humble satisfaction to not even question if there are other 'like-minded' sentient beings curious about divinity.

Or other universes, if we actually live in a multiverse

Did you miss the part that these blocks are in Lebanon. What is with the constant Pyramid references?

That is the great thing about using concrete-like building methods. They are portable and can be used anywhere as long as you have the raw materials.

Also, Lebanon is not that far from Egypt. It is possible that knowledge on construction was shared.

There was a thriving sea trade between ancient Egypt and ancient Greece. Lebanon would have been a convenient place to obtain fresh food and water supplies.

What happened to the the wheel theory in post #3? Or the wet sand theory in post #9? Are we going with polymer in post #26 now? Think that will stick to the wall? Sure why not? Because it's friggin' ridiculous that's why not.

You have been provided with multiple viable options to your baseless Gods/aliens superstitions.

You have provided nothing whatsoever as far as credible substantiation for your fairy tales.

Only thing that is ridiculous is that you are gullible enough to believe the hallucinations of someone from the bronze age over the pragmatic and practical alternatives that have been tested and proven feasible.

The reality is that the Egyptians probably used a combination of construction methods just as we do today. No aliens or gods needed to put a man on the moon.

It's not ridiculous and you have posted exactly nothing to show that it is.

The fact is that you have been given many possibilities as to how large structures could have been made by ancients. It is funny that you have called people closed minded and claimed to be open minded yourself when you reject anything that does not fit your narrative out of hand.

There are many possibilities - it is only the close minded and those that refuse to look at reality that would demand that God or Aliens are the only 2 possibilities.
