Democrats continue to make themselves look like idiots for opposing him.

Well, we will see how this turns out. But LOGICALLY, it makes no sense for Dems to fight this nomination to the Bitter End, thus forcing Republicans to invoke the Nuclear Option. This nomination is not the least bit controversial. An originalist is being nominated to replace another originalist who died. His credentials are impeccable. His responses have been 100% correct and appropriate. The ones who are badmouthing him literally look like hacks.

Next time around, possibly when RBG retires or croaks, now THAT would be the time to go to the mattresses. Now they just look like spoiled brats, throwing a tantrum for the sake of throwing a tantrum.

Democrats are too focused on pleasing their base, and in the process they are continually turning off Real People. You woulda thought November might have taught them something, but apparently not.
