And the rope needs to have i'd say 550-1000 lbs working load.
Somewhere in between a tetherball/concrete/tire mathingy and a full blown
"This is a standard flagpole for schools".
It could even be a little thinner than that.
I need to get a new flag. The old one I've been putting out since I was 8 and I stopped doing it
several occasions ago, because it's just too old.
It came from a guy that was in WW2. He tied the knots on it.
I'm hanging it without it touching the ground in my house.
