I find it fascinating- because liberal and conservative states bounce back and forth- look at Texas and California- 48 and 49.

Sounds about right for Alaska. We get tagged because our charity isn't something we can drive down the road to help with so instead we give money rather than the time to fly into the bush and help the natives cook up the subsistence hunting gains they collected all summer. Also why we don't donate food so much, it costs to damn much to get it out to them.
