Amish Man Sues for Right to Purchase a Firearm Without a Photo ID - The Truth About Guns

In the opinion of just about everyone in the Democrat party, the idea of asking someone to display a photo ID in order to cast a vote is a thinly veiled racist attempt to intimidate and disenfranchise low income and minority voters. But ssk them whether you should have to show a photo ID in order to purchase a gun — which, unlike voting, is a Constitutionally protected enumerated right — they’re all for it. Somehow they don’t see that as a racist attempt to disarm low income Americans. Now, however, one Pennsylvania man is challenging that requirement on an interesting premise: he’s Amish, and having his photograph taken is against his religion . . .

No, the queers that forced the baker to bake the cake and won. Opened a Pandoras box and were successful. I am all for the Amish man getting his gun without id though. Only fair if you don't need one to vote, right?

Sorry, religious freedom is not an end run around public safety.

Public Safety is not at stake. He offered his non photo ID and any other documents that could be requested. Amish have ID's but no photo in them. So how is the public being endangered by the Amish. If the schoolhouse shooting by a crazed Englisher is any proof, the Amish are more in danger from the public.

BTW, what is this sound:

Clop-clop-clop-clop-bang! Clop-clop-clop-clop-bang!

(an Amish drive by shooting)

Does that mean homosexual activity should be monitored and regulated by the government? After all, HIV/AIDS is a pretty big public safety concern.
